We got on our toes and Cub gave us a countdown "Three.....Two.....One...Go!"
We were off going as fast as our legs could take us. As soon as we entered into the pass sure enough the sun disappeared. It was dark but enough light to see where we were going.
We only got about a quarter mile in when we saw them. I looked up and could see them scaling along the top sides of the ridge only about six of them but the numbers were not what scared me it's what they had in their hands they had stones the size of our heads chucking them from both sides.
I ducked dodged the first, second one came from the left and was aimed for where I was about to move to. I stopped dead in my tracks it went flying in front of me, than a third I dodged easy but Lavie wasn't so lucky she didn't see it and it hit her leg. Alex and Cub pulled their bows out and were already releasing shots to both sides I kneeled down and pick Lavie up and we are back moving.
