Encyclopaedia Of Bioinformatics Science, Technology And Engineering
Bioinformatics combines the tools and techniques of mathematics, computer science and biology in order to understand the biological significance of a variety of data. So if we like to get into this new scientific field we should be fond of these 'classic' disciplines. Because the field is so new, almost everyone in it did something else before. Some biologist went into bioinformatics by picking up programming but others entered via the reverse route. The book describes key cell biology concepts needed to study molecular biology, and presents the key concepts of molecular biology necessary for various fields of biosciences. This book highlights the rapidly expanding field of Enzyme Applications, explaining how the biocatalysts bring advantages in some improvement and innovation. The properties of different enzymes are linked to the physical and biochemical events that they influence and are related to the key nutritional, organoleptic and shelf-life qualities. In this context, the chapters explore also recent developments in the use of some enzymes as well as the discovery of applications of new enzymes. Each category is explained systematically in terms of this of its function, metabolism, deficiency, treatment and prevention. This book present a succinct account the essential features of the biochemistry and biotechnology, and is being prepared by keeping in view the requirements of the students and academic professionals.
