I graduated from the University of Minnesota. I have worked retail as assisted buyer, buyer, store merchandise manager, store operation manager. Also, I sold real estate. I am retired and working on e-books.
For my authors name, I have used my Mother's Middle name and my Grandmother's maiden name. It is an honor to publish their recipes along with recipes from other family members and friends.
My Grandmother never got to go to school because her Mother did not think it necessary for daughters to go. However, my Grandmother thought that it was necessary for her 3 daughters to go to school and to go beyond high school. My Grandmother was a very strong welled Norwegian who came to this country when she was 3 years old. She had her own homestead in South Dakota. She married a neighbor and had six children. Her husband died very young and so reared her family on a farm. The food was totally suppied by the farm-large garden, meat, etc.
My Mother and Grandmother were wonderful cooks and bakers.
