A cyborg with haunted past, a woman with a clouded future...
Battered and broken, hostage and sole survivor Solia waits for death at the hands of vicious predatory aliens when Cy-Ops agent Guy Roarke disobeys orders, charges in, and rescues her. A former medic, he initiates emergency medical procedures before rushing her to Cybermed, in hopes of saving her wing so she can fly again. He's taken with the delicate, brave Faria, but his best intentions result in unfortunate consequences that place her in greater jeopardy. Can he overcome the guilt of past mistakes in time to save her life?

Publisher's note: Rescued by the Cyborg was originally published in the anthology Embrace the Romance: Pets in Space 2. It is being re-released as a single title novella. Rescued by the Cyborg is Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance 5.5 and fits between book 5 (Claimed by the Cyborg) and Book 6 (Hunted by the Cyborg). However, all the series books are standalones with an HEA and no cliffhangers. You can read them in any order.

**Received ARC for a fair and honest review** Rescued by the Cyborg. Guy Roarke is Cy-Ops out on a mission when he runs across the life signature of a Faria female who is dying. Not willing to wait for backup as ordered, he goes down to the hostile planet Katnia to rescue the Faria. The Ka'te are savage beasts that do nothing other than kill for fun, they don't have language other then some guttural sounds, at least that's what they thought. When Guy finds the Faria named Solia, she's almost dead and he's not about to lose another person. I really enjoyed the story line, and the characters. This was a fun story, that was hard to put down. The only reason I gave it a 4 is the ending just sort of stopped, no epilogue or anything. But up until then I loved the story, was not ready for to end when it did. I would recommend this book to others. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

We meet Guy and Solia in book 6 Hunted by the Cyborg, and they are already together.  It was awesome that Bristol gave us their story because when I was reading book six, I was thinking to myself, “wait a minute, I want their story too.”   There is a running theme in these stories, the Cyborg’s want to find love but all seem to feel they are either not worthy of it, or not men anymore so don’t deserve it.  I love that throughout each tale the right woman shows the Cyborgs that they can have love and companionship.   There are women out there who won't care that they are part machine or will love them for them.  Love is a huge proponent of these stories, and I think that is what I love the most.  Not to mention that its set in a futuristic sci-fi setting.  My favorite genre, sci-fi romance.   This is the perfect story that transitions between books 5 and 6 and gives us a closer look at the savage Ka’te who have been referred to since the first story. It looks like the Cyborgs have their work cut out for them with those vicious beings.   Rescued by the Cyborg is the perfect quick story that fits right in with the rest of this world, yes it can be read as a standalone, but you would be missing some excellent books if you do.   I am giving it 5 Boundless Stars; I loved it.

Rescued By the Cyborg was an action pack sci-fi story. This short, fast paced romance was fully descriptive and I enjoyed the characters in this novel. Guy and Solia were so perfectly suited to each other. Both falling for the other yet afraid to express their true feeling for each other. We are given both their POV in the novel and its easy to see their growing feelings. I enjoyed this novel. It was a good read. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel. *
