Almost forty years ago we launched the "Voyager Space Probe". It was a feat of human ingenuity. The craft explored the outer planets, sending back information and images to expand our knowledge of this universe. When its mission was complete, Voyager left our solar system for interstellar space. Although we stayed in contact with it, we felt its mission was over....but we were wrong. The moment it left our solar system it was detected by an alien race who were unaware of our location. With intelligence and technology centuries beyond ours, we would stand no chance against this enemy. Our only hope would be to wield a force beyond that of science and man. But what will be the ultimate cost of using such a power?
Technology vs. Magic - Winner gets Earth.

About the Author
Jate Hemms was brought up in far upstate New York (20 minutes from the Canadian border) in a middle income family. A shy kid through much of high school, he gradually came out of his shell in college. Always good at communicating on paper, that ability sharpened and expanded in a way that he could verbally express himself to persuade others. Jate also discovered he had a knack for speaking to crowds or audiences and ultimately getting him on the college debate team. Although not much of an athlete, he has always enjoyed sports and commentating games during his college years. Always interested in Science and astronomy, he took every class he could in those fields. Finding that many people were offended by some aspects of science and how it conflicted with religious and biblical believes. He also studied all forms of world religion, especially Christianity which allowed him to be able to try and see both sides of the argument in an educated way. Always being caught in the middle of these two ever clashing topics, he tried to create a way that would combine them both, so room for compromise could be made. Happy that our new Pope recently made the announcement that science was not the enemy of the church, he continues to try to bring both groups together and inspire others with his stories.

A wonderfully refreshing, captivating new Sci-Fi story! Masterful writing and story-telling. It evokes that feeling of regret, reserved for only really good stories, that comes, after the midpoint, when the end of the book is in sight. I hope the other two books are coming SOON! Don't make me use MY ring!!!
Great story. Exciting and easy to read. Very Happy with it.
Incredible from start to finish. I'm officially a Jate Hemms fan. Looking forward to Book 2 & 3 !!!! And quite likely...the Movie.
