Troublemaker, Book 1 and 2 (Alex Barnaby Series) by Janet Evanovich, Alex Evanovich

Barney and Hooker are together again and fighting crime, leaving a trail of chaos, panic, and disorder in their wake. Some would say they're drawn toward trouble like a moth to a flame. Others would claim their friends, Rosa and Felicia, dump trouble in Barney's and Hooker's laps. Either way, they are in over their heads when Rosa is kidnapped, and her disappearance is linked to a dangerous voodoo priest and his search for a mystery-drenched stolen statue.

Written by Janet and Alex Evanovich, and illustrated by Joëlle Jones (Dr. Horrible, Token), Troublemaker brings ultimate adventure set in sun-filled Miami!

• Janet Evanovich, the New York Times number-one best-selling author, brings her hit Barnaby series to Dark Horse Comics!

• The entire Troublemaker story collected into one affordable volume!

• "With art reminiscent of the Florida sun and writing supercharged with action, the Troublemaker graphic novel from best-selling author Evanovich and her daughter is a winner!"—RT Book Reviews

I am an avid Janet Evanovich reader so when I purchased this I had no idea it was a comic book style. It is not suitable for reading on the nook. The type is too small and hard to read. I wish I could return it like you can return to other stores. Very disappointed!!!

Janet Evanovich is one of the best writers I have read in a long time. It is so hard to put her books down because you never know what hallarious thing is going to happen next. The worst thing is having to wait for the next book. :-) You really need to read her books, they will make you laugh. I was in a doctors office waiting area reading and started laughing, my eyes were watering and everyone in there was looking at me. I had several people ask me what I was reading. They said they were going out immediately to buy her books. There were probably lots of sales that day. I'm sure they laughed as hard as I did.

For everybody that read the reviews about the type being to small, don't let that deter you. Because of nook comics, now the format is better so you can zoom in. I think this book/comic is great.

Just not for me. To small of type and I just like "real"characters.

Found this book very hard to read...on a nook book due to the tiny print. I would not buy this style of book again. I Love Janet Evanovich books so this was a big disappointment.

Love this writer, but disappointed that this was a "comic" or whatever it's called. Probably would not have purchased.

Don't get me wrong, I love Janet but I have not finish reading this, I lost interest.

This was just a sample, but it had a good start with the introduction of supporting characters. I will be looking for the real comic in stores.

Very colorful vibrant artwork. A pleasure to look at. Loved the story as well having attended LSU and explored New Orleans a lot. Will definitely buy more if published!

*Book source ~ Library From Goodreads: Narrator Alex Barnaby 30 and NASCAR driver Sam Hooker fight crime the only way they know how - leaving a trail of chaos. Hooker's friends Rosa and Felicia call for help. To find a missing man, Alex and Sam go deep into the underbelly of Miami, survive Petro Voodoo, explosions, gift- wrapped body parts, a deadly swamp chase, and Hooker's mom. Not a terrible story, mostly fluff which isn’t always a bad thing. Beware the cliffhanger though. The story may have failed to impress, but that artwork...wowzers. It’s fantastic! Totally worth reading the book for the art alone.

Love the change to a graphic novel. Although I have read many novels by Janet Evanovich, this is the first graphic novel that I have read. It was so much fun reading about Barney and Hooker and actually seeing them as images on paper. Can't wait to get the next one!

I love janet's books, but this was hard get through on my nook. Frankly, that is to much to pay for any comic book. I got over them in the 70's and just wanted to read another Barney and Hooker series.

Five stars for the Barnaby and Hooker series. Its her best yet. I hope she keeps writing them, but not in a graphic novel.
