I am so grateful that this book is out there. I have spent a fair amount of time searching and searching for another woman's postpartum journey with regards to weight loss. Most of what I have come across addresses individual pieces of the postpartum puzzle. There is really nothing else out there quite like this book. As complicated as it may seem to me, Holly has put together an invaluable guide to postpartum weight loss that is easy to follow, full of little tips and tricks (details!) and is funny, to boot! I like the way the author puts her real life challenges and stories together, while weaving in the humor and joy of being a new mother. New motherhood certainly comes with its trials and tests (and Holly has had her share), but she helps me feel that everything is going to be OK. Thank you Holly for taking the time to share the many choices we women have that actually work (and the ones that don't work). You kept up your battle for true health and wellness far longer than most of us would have chosen to endure. I would have given up a long time ago. You have just made my postpartum journey much easier to navigate! I recommend this book to anyone out there who is an old or new mom, pregnant, planning pregnancy or just want to be healthy and fit. There are no shortcuts to good health, but there ARE shortcuts through the postpartum maze.
