Quick background for those that don't know. X-23 is the 23rd attempt and first succesful clone of the Weapon X project that created Wolverine. This book is actually the third book (yet to read the first two) following X-23's life. It covers some of the methods she was brought up and trained on. But the coolest thing is when she escapes and trys to start a new life with relatives. I was cracking up when X-23 was explaining how to bribe/threated athorites in fluent French for the French Teacher, then X-23 and her cousin are outside the principle's office with the cousin asking, "What did you say!?". But all good things come to an end for X-23, as you see that once the U.S. Government creates a weapon, they are only happy with it in its cage or killing the targets they see fit, not trying to forget the past and live in peace with the world.
