Jeff Somers is the author of We Are Not Good People, the Avery Cates series, Lifers, and Chum. He was first sighted in Jersey City, New Jersey, after the destruction of a classified government installation in the early 1970s; the area in question is still too radioactive to go near. Jeff has published over thirty short stories, including “Ringing the Changes,” which appeared in the Best American Mystery Stories 2006 anthology.
