Book Nerd Tweets of the Week
It’s convention season, and social media was all over the two biggies this week: one in Cleveland, and one in San Diego. We’ll stay away from the former, and should have some more on the latter next week.

This young superhero is clearly reading G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona’s fabulous Ms. Marvel book.
We found the most amazing Ms. Marvel on the #SDCC floor! Best part: she's cosplaying as Squirrel Girl on Saturday! 👏 pic.twitter.com/mrZsjwS8oB

Shameless plug time! If you happen to be at #SDCC2016:

You could get some books. And then put said books inside aforementioned bag. It’s a perfect plan, really.
Meanwhile: what are you reading?
I woke up this morning and had to calm myself down by reading any kind of facts. Almanacs, batting averages, whatever.

Me: *literally has a whole shelf of books that I have not read*
Me: okay, so I think it's about time I reread some Percy Jackson books— perseus. (@sevensprophecy) July 16, 2016

Writing is all about balance:

Even my mom doesn’t read my stuff, so I’m not entirely convinced.
Finally, we said farewell to Garry Marshall this week to legendary producer Garry Marshall. He wasn’t an author, strictly speaking, though he somehow found time to complete a couple of memoirs. He was definitely a writer, however, with television and film credits that go back almost six decades.
Thanks to legendary TV producer and film director Garry Marshall, for many happy days and countless laughs. pic.twitter.com/PjKw7Al8hF
