Accompanying sixteen lessons in considerate consumption are recipes for soups, salads, bread, appetizers, entrees, and desserts--for carnivores, herbivores, omnivores, and lapivores all. (Lapivores eat rocks!) Additional material provides direction and advice regarding use of the inedible parts of creatures cooked--hides for clothing, shelter, crafts projects... bones for tools, personal adornment, crafts projects... plus contributions from several cavemen and cavewomen who care--leaders in their respective fields who can see beyond the selfishness of the Stone Age.

About the Author

Matthew David Brozik, one of the co-authors of the Government Manual series of guidebooks for superheroes, wizards, and pirates... and author of WHIMSY & SODA... prefers the company of dinosaurs to that of vegetables. His quirky fiction and humor have appeared in various publications, in print and online.

Lauren Krueger is a video editor, writer, and good cook. In a pickle, she can concoct a feast from whatever is handy. In fact, if you hand her a cucumber, she’ll make a pickle. Despite a prevailing obsession with vegetables, Lauren loves hamburgers.

Lauren and Matthew are married. To each other. After collaborating to produce this very funny book, they collaborated to produce a very funny daughter. They also have a bird, obviously descended from dinosaurs, who happens to love pickles. Discovery of the dinosaur-pickle connection is the family’s true gift to science.
