It’s Like Getting Paid to Play Warcraft

As I scanned across my computer screen while researching price points for my World of Warcraft Guide: 'Thinecron's Gold Guide', I noticed a few interesting points. First off, there was a lot of people selling World of Warcraft guides on eBay. At the time of writing this, I did a search for the term 'World of Warcraft Guide' and was presented with over 1,000 results! I could not believe the amount of people that were selling these guides on eBay. I thought to myself, most of these people must be kidding themselves; there was no way they could be making money in such a flooded market. (I also thought that maybe I should not bother competing in this market either.)
I decided to see exactly how well the guides were selling on eBay. I did this by using the advanced search on eBay which allows you to search completed auctions. I was amazed to see that quite a few of these guides were selling. In such a hugely saturated market, people were still making money. At this point, I got pretty excited. I had found an area that was selling phenomenally, even though there was a huge amount of competition. I 10 rule, it basically means that 10% of the people are making 90% of the money. Some people were doing poorly, some were making moderate amounts of money, while the small 10% were raking in huge amounts of profit. The '10% people' selling their guides on eBay were making monthly profits numbered in the $1,000's of dollars. Some were making even more.
Throughout my research, two sellers really stood out in this area: one was an eBay seller that goes by 'couvier330' selling Joan's Horde Guide, and the other one was 'wowseller88' selling Brian Kopp's Alliance guide. These two were putting everyone else to shame with the amount of sales they were producing. Instantly, I wanted to get in on the action! I first contacted the eBay seller couvier330 and explained that I had a mailing list of 500 World of Warcraft players that would be interested in his guide. In the message I sent, I explained that I would like to offer the people on my list a chance to purchase this guide for a 50/50 split of the profit. While waiting for the response, I could see nothing except dollar signs in my vision. When the response finally came back to me, I had gotten myself pretty worked up. In the response letter, the eBay seller had told me that he would not do a joint venture with me, but he explained to me that I could still sell his guide. All I had to do was go to a website called ClickBank, sign up and start selling his guide. (I will explain how this works in the next chapter.)
I followed the advice and signed up at ClickBank, and then immediately sent out a letter to all the WoW players on my mailing list. I was amazed at the results! I was on my way to becoming a '10% person'. After this, I became obsessed with promoting and selling this guide. I was constantly trying new ways to sell it and make a profit. Unfortunately, due to the way ClickBank is set up, I could not sell this guide on eBay. At first that was upsetting because eBay gets a lot of visitors each day. In the end, I channeled that disappointment into trying to find other ways to promote and sell the guide.
My goal is to show you how to use the powers of ClickBank and other peoples' Warcraft guides to bring in a nice monthly profit. In my research, I have found quite a few easy ways to sell other peoples' guides without very much time or effort. Within this book, I will reveal my secrets as to how I promoted these guides without using any money.
ClickBank
What is ClickBank?
www.clickbank.com
ClickBank, in my opinion, is one of the greatest resources for making money on the Web (the next greatest, of course, being Bay). ClickBank takes advantage of what is called 'affiliate marketing'. In its most simple terms, one will create a product that she would like to sell on the internet. She then takes this product to ClickBank and allow people to sell the product for her. So who makes the money here? The great part about this is that all the people involved make money! ClickBank makes money because they take a small percentage of each sale. The creator of the product makes money because her product is being sold, and the affiliate (you) will get a certain percentage of each sale that is made as well.
When a product is first introduced to ClickBank, the owner of the product sets a price for his item and as well as a commission percentage. On ClickBank, most items will give you a commission of 50-75%. For those of you familiar with commission work, this means some big numbers. Most people who work on commission get somewhere between 5-20% of each sale they make. So already, ClickBank can make you better money than most people working a full time commission sales job!
