You can search for music in two ways: Quick Search and Advanced Search. If you don't know exactly what album you are looking for, Browse Styles includes selections from our editors, Top Ten lists, and other features. On the Charts includes great music for all tastes and all occasions.
General Search Tips

Quick Search, Advanced Search both search our entire music catalogue. Quick Search is a single-field search. The Popular Advanced Search will limit your search to nonclassical music, and the Classical Advanced Search will limit your search to just classical music. Advanced Search allows you to search on multiple fields and apply search filters.
Searching by Artist
Enter all or part of the artist name you are looking for. If you are entering the name of an individual rather than a group, you do not need to enter a first name, but if there are a lot of albums by artists with the same last name it may help to limit the results. If the search engine finds more than one artist with the same name, a page with a list of all matching artists, along with representative albums, will be displayed. Select the artist whose album listing you want to see.
Searching by Title
Enter all or part of the album title you are looking for. You can leave out words such as "a," "an," or "the." The search engine will try to find albums that have all the words you entered in the title. If no albums are found with all the words, the search engine will try to find albums with some of the words.
Searching by Song
Enter all or part of the song title you are looking for. You can leave out words such as "a," "an," or "the." The search engine will try to find albums on which the song you are searching for appears. If no songs are found with all the words, the search engine will try to find songs with some of the words.
Searching by All
On the music Quick Search you can also search by "all." This search will look for your query in the title, artist, and song name categories, and return all matches. Be aware that if you select "all," your search results may be very long. You should choose title, artist, or song if you know that is what you are looking for.
Formatting Your Search
It is not necessary to use any special characters in formatting your search. Simply enter the words you are looking for. Quotation marks, plus signs, or Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) will be ignored by the search engine. The search engine is case-insensitive. You can enter your search in all capitals, all lowercase, or mixed case.
