    Masterful Medieval Erotic Blend

The Bargain is a medieval erotic pleasure! Norman Knight Renaud de Wulf conquers Braemere for King William. Upon his arrival he captures the young Saxon Lord Adelstan Cawdor, but is suddenly wounded by an arrow shot from the young Lord's twin. Renaud soon discovers this twin is a beautiful young woman, Lady Aleysia. A cold conqueror, he accepts 'The Bargain' of her virginity and her warming his bed in return for him sparing her brother's life. Renaud soon discovers that once is not enough with this young and sensual beauty. The lust they expect, but soon Renaud and Aleysia find themselves struggling with their feelings of love, an intense struggle between conqueror and captured. Renaud finds his love for the beautiful Aleysia becoming stronger than his allegiance to his King and he continually finds himself giving into her demands for her brother's release. Soon he is sacrificing all for more of her. This is what makes this story even more erotic, as well as it being a delightful well-written historical romance that has a balance of story, character development, and erotica. It is the intense lust, pleasure and love that at times seems all consuming, which is what makes a good erotic read more than just a string of sex scenes. Julia Templeton is an author destined to be one of the top authors in erotic romance. This reviewer finds that when a Julia Templeton story is part of an anthology, her story always seems to outshine the others. Her books are a true delight for those who love the sensual that blends with a well-developed and researched story. And like her characters......her fans want more!

    Marvelous

I am really starting to enjoy Ms. Templeton. Her stories are so enticing. I could not put this book down for a second. With all these great novelists out there it is getting to be more exciting to stay at home and read than anything else! The Bargain was an especially good story. I just love when there is strong tension behind the romance like in this one.

    heated historical

In 1069, William¿s most trusted vassal merciless Renaud de Wulf is leading a force through Northumbria burning all the villages and destroying anything in their way. Saxon Aleysia Cawdor is despondent because she and her twin brother Adelstan had come so close to regaining the family hold, Braemere, from the Norman butcher Baron de Pirou who killed their parents in cold blood, but now there is no hope, as Renaud never fails. --- When his men capture Adelstan, Renaud is shocked as he is a teen who looks pretty not masculine making him wonder how this lad killed de Pirou and retook the fortress. Renaud accuses Adelstan of treason when an arrow is shot past his head. He goes after the twin only to find ¿Temptation¿ pleading with him for mercy for her sibling as she explains why de Pirou was killed and that her Scottish fiancé Laird Duncan Macmillan will come for her. They make a deal her body for her twin¿s life. As they seal their deal over the feel of the flesh, they fall in love, but neither wants to admit how much their beloved enemy means to them until it seems too late as the Scot led by Duncan and the Danes assault Braemere. --- THE BARGAIN is a heated historical that brings to ardent life the Conqueror era. The novel is refreshed by the erotic relationship that eventually turns to love between the lead adversaries even as Renaud works to strengthen his control. Fans of late eleventh century romances with torrid love scenes will enjoy the star-crossed tale. --- Harriet Klausner

    Wow what an excellent read

Wow what an excellent read! I love this book and this author! This book held my interest from beginning to end. The characters were so believable and you can feel the emotions between them. I love a strong heroine and her love for her twin who was her only family member left. The hero Renaud could not help but fall in love with Aleysia. Oh and the love scenes Wow!!! This book is a definite keeper to reread! Highly Recommend!!!

    Sexy, Intelligent, Romantic

I loved this book. The attraction between the lead characters was believable and extremely hot. The characters themselves were three dimensional. The writer seemed to have done her homework regarding the historical aspect of the book. The scenery and dialogue felt authentic.I actually learned a little history between the wicked hot love scenes.

I'm glad I got it at bargain prices.

This book is all emotion. I like characters in the books I read who use reason and logic more often than emotion for dealing with difficult situations.
