WOW what a great go to design idea book! As a new crocheter I was amazed at the many options available for creating different and dramatic motifs! The sky is the limit with this handy book. Different weights of yarn are depicted side by side using the same motif so one has a real sense of how things will progress with your project! Very much makes you feel even as a newbie that this is something you CAN DO! Reading patterns is difficult for me but having both patterns and diagrams/charts the work becomes understandable! A plus for visual learners!

This is so colorful, vibrant and inspiring. Even if you don't feel comfortable with working with Motifs it is also a great reference for color combinations. Sometimes you want to see what a finished piece looks like with various colors and this gives it to you. There are single color motifs as well but I love color and I love this book for that. You sometimes can't see how a pattern or products real dimensions until you see them in different colors. It helped me since I am not a real pro at reading patterns. Some are still a little tricky for me but it inspired me to keep trying. The book just brightens my outlook on tackling motifs. I hope it does the same if not more for you. I even gave a copy to one of my "teachers" lol. She has been helping me from time to time with stitches I have had trouble creating from a pattern. She was so excited! A Great Gift as long as you know the person doesn't have one already :-)!

This is a terrific book for ideas on crochet motifs that can be stitched together to form larger objects. I like that it is spiral bound with a hardcover to lay open easily. The instructions are easy to follow and good for people at any level. The only thing that this book lacks is some general ideas for connecting the pieces together.

Aside from being a beautiful book, the projects and instructions are easy for an experienced crocheter. I love the use of color and the variety of designs.

As a novice crocheter I Love this book when I want to be creative and make a unique piece without having to write the pattern myself but put these motifs together. I have made blankets, adorned hats, and want to make a bag soon. This book is great for beginner to expert with written and visual patterns. Pair with her borders book and you can dream up any kind of combination that you will be proud to say I designed and made it.

This book is amazing for people who prefer to actually see the stitches rather than read how many and when to make them. This book is great for visual learners.

It is a great book. Nice color illustration and easy to follow patterns. It was a nice starter book. It only has crochet motifs and no projects, I love that!

I have yet to make anything with this book but it looks super fun and I am excited to try out the different shapes. The only improvement to it would have been more examples than what was listed for how to combine the different shapes to make afghans etc.
