Overview

Trigun creator, Yasuhiro Nightow, returns to Dark Horse with a frantic new mini-series — Blood Blockade Battlefront!

In Nightow''s new world, a breach between Earth and the netherworlds has opened up over the city of New York, trapping New Yorkers and creatures from other dimensions in an impenetrable bubble. They''ve lived together for years, in a world of crazy crime sci-fi sensibilities. Now someone is threatening to sever the bubble, and a group of stylish superhumans is working to keep it from happening.

Like Trigun, Nightow''s Blood Blockade Battlefront is non-stop action, unbridled imagination, and a ton of strange weaponry.

I've been a loyal fan of Yasuhiro Nightow ever since he blessed this planet with Trigun and Trigun Maximum. I had to check this series out. I gotta say I was happy and thrilled to sit down and enjoy the twisted fantasies of one of the more ingenious manga-ka around. Although there are a few characters who look like the female version of a particular character *cough* WOLFWOOD *cough* it's still a book with tons of battles and twisted creatures. Not a bad story, a little hard to follow but this deserves multiple readings. Looking forward to more.

First off I must say that I am not a comic (magna) reader. With that said it took me awhile to get into reading this style of book, knowing which pain, or even which text blurb to read first was confusing to me at times. But I do think that if you enjoy reading magna, this would be a great book for you. My problem with reading the magna took away a bit of the enjoyment of the book from me, but I think when I go and read it again I will enjoy it better. But getting past my reading problems, I did love the pictures a lot my only wish is that the whole book could be as colorful as the cover ;). So over all if you are a magna reader this book is for you, the story is fast moving so it will catch your attention the characters are quirky and funny.
