The story is quite thought provoking. It begs you to look at yourself and take the time to think about your life and where you plan on going. It is not a simple read for ditsy teenagers who only read books about vampires, romance and other fluff (not saying I don't read the occasional fluff novel to fill my time when I have nothing better to read). It is an intelligently written 500+ page novel that focuses on a character whobegins to realize that he isn't living up to his own expectations of how he wants to go about living the rest of his life. A fantastic book I would recomend to anyone who doesn't mind a relatively slow read that is thought-provoking.

The story idea was interesting but it wasn't really developed. The author seamed fond of using the book as a way to share her veiws on the homogenization of sociaty and the efforts to erase the individual and the creation of a world where everyone is dumbed down. Rants about it were many and after the first one needed to be skipped. The story line had a lot of potential but it just didn't live up to expectations.

Slow starter. Great concept. Beautiful love story. Odd writing style. See blog for details.

Brilliant, have heard feature film already in pipe-line, most exciting and real book despite the fantasy elements. Not for 'The Middles' already too brainwashed in a routine to realise the prison they live in. Look forward to reading more from this writer who has a deeper level of thinking and connection than normally presents itself in this beautiful and unnecessarily hostile world.

This book, in my opinion, was truly amazing. It had a great story and from the beginning it had my full attention. I would, however, not recommend this to anyone who doesn't like to think much. But for those of you who do, you should seriously read this book. It will make you wonder about the real meaning of life.

The storytelling was good; the beginning was intriguing; the concept was interesting; the main character was, for the most part, believable and relatable. The author definitely has a lot of talent. However, the author definitely does not have good editor. The grammar mistakes were more consistent than the plot, and the author seemed incapable transistioning smoothly from one thought to the next. I had to stop reading because I was so put off by the stilted organization of ideas. I would probably not recommend this book to most people. However, if I saw another book by the same author, I would probably give it the benefit of the doubt; provided that it was free, of course.

You guys do know this is for reviews on a book not rle play about one of my favorite series "Nightshade". I understand that its all fun and games but come on. It is getting a little old when this is all i see on every review. I want to know about the book not some pretend werewolf slut who cheats or what not.

I really loved this story. It conveyed to me the reality of life and how each of us always hide part of ourselves, even to those we love the most. It is only when we are able to share the secrets of our souls that we become truely free

I abosolutly loved this book. Gabe sees the world how it really is and tries to function in a society where he isn't accepted. He shares his philosophical veiws and that is really what I love about him. Read the book if you love the unsual and different!
