This is Candace Havens's first novel, and it's a charmer about Bronwyn, a young witch with killer protective skills, great intuition, and way too many romantic issues. Her purpose is to rid the world of evil, not in a Buffyesque way but in a "destroying bad guys one day at a time way." She's a one-woman secret service to the British prime minister, whom she saves from assassinations and other troubles, and she's able to help Sheik Azir as well. But when it comes to men -- well, since warlocks tend to throw black magic at her, why would she be attracted to the local warlock? And why does he spend so much time with her best friend? Told in diary format, Charmed and Dangerous is a delicious comic romp. Ginger Curwen

This book was entertaining and I loved the characters. The writing style took some adjustment because it was in a diary-like format. I look forward to reading others in the series

I 've read this book and it was really good if you're into witches and spells. It was exciting all i wanted to do was to read this book so i can find out the ending. I was pleased with the ending as well. The endng was so good that I wanted to read the next one.

They're cute and fun, sarcastic, and an easy read. I recommend to anyone who isn't looking for life-changing literature. :)

This book is a light read. It's the book equivalent of a chick flick. Sometimes it is just what you need. The characters are lovable- the relationship between Dr. Sam and Bronwyn always seems to be in peril over the silliest things. I found it irritating and immature at times. Bronwyn has a create support group to keep her going and the diary entries never disappoint, love the foreshadowing.

The main chartacter keeps the journal so that is something every happens to her while she is keeping the Prime Minister of Britten, a Sherki and who ever eles turn up in the book from assaision, warlocks, witches and deamons. Very good book. The books I have read in the seris so far as all great read. They are worth reading.

It seemed that there were moments of time that were missing in the story development. The book was ok to read since I was home alone with nothing else to do.

Browyn is a modern day witch who likes her job. She provides security services to high-ranking officials like the PM or rather the British Prime Minister. So it would be safe to say that Browyn is a good witch. And with the good comes the bad and there is a Warlock bent on revenge against her. Luckily though her policy is to NEVER have sex or a relationship with a Warlock. Keeping that in mind she feels relatively safe and comfortable with her life. Right? Wrong!............. As it happens while working for the PM she manages to save a Sheik. And not just any Sheik, he is of course drop dead gorgeous and determined to acquire her security services, among other things. However she really doesn¿t have time for anything outside of her work and getting established in the new town of Sweet Texas. However she is not the only new person in town. Dr. Sam, a closet warlock, has moved in and the attraction between them sizzles every time they touch. Thus confusion abounds as Browyn tries to sort out her life with 2 clients, 2 love interests and one pissed off warlock............ Ms. Havens wrote this book in the first person and does a great job of delving into the mind of a witch while still creating a viable fun plot. To accomplish this it is as if you are reading the diary of Browyn and her many globe trotting experiences. The characters are fun and the bad guy is definitely illusive. And because of her line of work, the reader gets to enjoy many fun witchcraft powers along with some laugh out loud moments. A fun and fast read, chick-lit fans will definitely get a charge out of this paranormal romance.

Bewitched meets Buffy meets Bond. That¿s the best way I can describe Candace Havens¿ Charmed and Dangerous. Heroine Bronwyn is not a witch to be taken lightly and when her job as protector to some diplomats turns the bad guys on her, she proves it. Further complicating her life is the handsome doctor in her newly adopted hometown of Sweet, Texas. Sexy Dr. Sam just happens to be a warlock and Bronwyn has a rule about not dating warlocks. But rules are meant to be broken, aren¿t they? I don¿t believe in spoilers so you¿ll just have to read the book to find out more about the other hottie on Bronwyn¿s radar. Ms. Havens does a fantastic job with her debut into the world of romance. I¿m not a huge fan of first person, but as long as Ms. Havens is doing the writing, it¿s just fine with me. The clever narrative in this chick-lit flavored romp will make you laugh out loud in places. Written in diary style, the story moves along at a great pace. We follow Bronwyn all over the globe ¿ Brussels, Oslo, Dubai and back to the States ¿ and along the way meet an interesting array of characters ¿ demonhunters, wizards, warlocks, ghosts and even a librarian. Bronwyn is easy to like. She¿s a smart, witty and for a witch with such astounding powers, not full of herself. Very girl next door. Love it! I had the opportunity to read almost uninterrupted and finished the book in a matter of hours. I was bummed when it was over and oddly enough, wished for a sequel. I don¿t usually feel that way about most romances but the characters in this story make you want more. Here¿s hoping Ms. Havens¿ next book takes us back to the charming town of Sweet, Texas for another wild broom ride.

Overview
She has no problem fighting bad guys-but lots of problems finding a good one. With her globetrotting career of protecting the British Prime Minister, Bronwyn isn't your ordinary witch. But her powers can't help her decide between a sexy Sheik and the town doctor, who happens to be a warlock-and more than worthy of a liplock.
