Overview

By the light of the pure eclipse, two worlds will be as one . . .

She was once a princess of Faerie, the seventh daughter of King Oberon. But sixteen-year-old Anita Palmer has no memory of the Faerie Realm; her true Faerie princess identity; her love, Edric; or her quest to save Faerie from a deadly plague that ravaged it. With the help of an unexpected ally, Anita must figure out a way to reawaken Tania, her Faerie self—but how?

Now Anita—or is she Tania?—doesn't know who, or what, to trust, including her own memories. With no time to spare, Anita must act. A thrilling final battle is soon to be waged that will affect not only her destiny but the fate of both Faerie and the Mortal World. Loyalties will be tested, true love questioned, and nothing is what it seems.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
In this sixth and concluding book of the "Faerie Path" series, sixteen-year-old Anita Palmer wakes up one summer morning in London with no idea where she has been for the past two months. She can't find her boyfriend, Evan, and her mother has told her an absolutely unbelievable story about faeries, plagues, and a completely different world. In this alternate world, her mother tells her, Anita is known as Tania, the long-lost princess of Faerie, and the seventh daughter of King Oberon. She also learns that she has a sister named Rathina, and her boyfriend, Evan, is really Edric, also a member of the Faerie world. Anita is only able to reawaken Tania, her Faerie self, after her mortal father gives her his blessing. With it, Anita is able to remember all her faerie past and heads back into the Faerie world with her best friend, Jade, a mortal, at her side. At first, everything seems normal in the world of Faerie, but Tania knows that something is off. Eventually Tania and her friends discover that her uncle Lear is responsible for the evil that is plaguing Faerie World and an epic battle ensues. Ultimately, Tania defeats her Uncle Lear with Jade's and Edric's help, and saves the Faerie World. As a bonus, Edric asks her to marry him. For readers who have stuck with the previous five books in the series, this ending will likely offer a satisfying conclusion to the many subplots that have been brewing since the first novel. For readers unfamiliar with Tania's Faerie world, however, it won't make much sense. A prologue which offers a long, convoluted synopsis of the storyline up to the start of the sixth installment may be some help, but the plot of the series is so complicated that even this explanation is almost impenetrable. Recommended for diehard fantasy lovers only. Reviewer: Lauri Berkenkamp

PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY....(first start at the beginning)

Frewin Jones is the author of the amazing Faerie Path series along with many others. His work has grown on me and has made me ADDICTED to this series! I love the characters and the whole concept of Faerie. Will Tania be able to return to the Realm of Faerie and save the world? Or will she be stuck in the mortal world without the knowledge of the knew life she has discovered? I liked how the last book ended, but I was also a little dissappointed with it, too. I wish that it gave a little more insight on what she truely remembered about her "dream" and I wished that there was a preview of this book like all the other books. I truely hope that The Charmed Return will live up to its expectations and be a joy to read! Why can't it come out sooner???? Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait (gag). Once again pick this series to read and enjoy this novel when it comes out!
