Meet the Author

Anya Bast lives in the country with her Belgian husband, their tornado toddler of a daughter, and more cats, dogs, and rabbits than is sane. Ever since she was a little girl, Anya has told stories (much to her mother's dismay). She's happy to finally be making a career out of it.

A native of one of the colder states, she loves to ice skate and watch hockey. She has fascination for crows, ravens and birds of prey. She enjoys the study of Eastern philosophy, Celtic myth, dreaming, and shamanism and occasionally incorporates what she learns into her paranormal stories.     The Chosen Sin

    While I didn't care very much about the sci-fi aspect of the book, I absolutely loved the plot. The sex scenes were very steamy and graphic. If you love the combination of sex and vampires, this is the book for you. The tension alone between the two main characters make it my "chosen sin".

    Very Arousing

    I thought this book was really good. Alejandro is such a sexy and hot vampire. I loved how he was so in love with Daria and only wanted her for himself. This book was nothing how I pictured it. Very detailed sexual scenes. I didnt mind them. I will read this book again

    Scorching Hot!

    Alejandro is the sexiest vamp! He can bite me anytime. Daria delivers as a strong female character. Loved the book and story line.

    I loved it!!

    This is the first Anya Bast book that I have read and I will be reading her other books! If you love vampire romance stories that actually describe the sex scenes and don¿t just gloss over them, this is the book for you. I am new to the paranormal romances genre and this is a must read.

    A strong outer space vampiric saga

    In the lawless Logos Territory on Darpong in the Nabovsky Galaxy, Governing Body of the Chosen (GBC) vampiric agent Alejandro Martinez and Allied Bureau of Investigation (ABI) human operative Daria Moran meet at the Blood Spot. Meet might be a soft way to describe their first encounter in seven years as she catches him breaking GBC law by taking blood from a wiling veilhounder. Before he was Chosen, they had shared an incredible night of sex, but she makes it clear no second round and he is to keep his fangs inside. ------------- Their joint mission is to end the murderous drug and people smuggling reign of ancient rogue vampire Christopher Sante complicating matters for the pair is Sante is Chosen.     The Choosen Sin

    This book was very good. It was the first time I've read a book about vampires that was about the future, or at least what I imagined would be the furute. I really liked this.

    It is o.k.

    This book is just o.k. Don't really have complaints ' per say' - so it was just o.k. It kept me reading to see the end, but it didn't make me fall in love with the characters or storyline.

    Would have to pass on this

    I have read Anya Bast in the past and for the most part enjoyed her style; however, The Chosen Sin was disappointing and honestly a struggle to finish.

    The cover art and back cover initially caught my eye. The blurb outlined a slight change to the premise of most vampire stories. The added suspense of Daria's mission promised to make this a sensual, suspenseful read. The blurb failed to outline other aspects of the book. First, the fact the story takes place in a future, space setting was for the most part irrelevant to the actual story, instead it seemed to be a tool by which the author could create anything and justify it by the setting. The by-play and tension between Daria and Alejandro was enticiing and I was compelled to see how their relationship would turn out. However, my enjoyment of their relationship was diminished by some of the dominance themes of the book, which didn't seem to serve a purpose. Daria's mission was at times interesting, bizarre, and made it difficult to empathize with the characters. Upon completion of this book, I was left with the distinct impression the author had tried to encompass as many genres as possible within the one story. While I can applaud the attempt, it sadly fell flat as so many competing ideas left very little room for detail and substance.

    While the story does at times touch emotions and offers some steamy, enjoyable scenes, I don't forsee reading this book ever again.

    Not my Thing... Couldn't even finish more then one chapter

    This book was just not my type of thing. Other planet vampires??? I couldn't get past the crazy things. I think it maybe for someone else - but not for me.
