It's Winter Solstice, and Aeval welcomes me into her Court of Darkness. With Morio still dangerously weak from his injuries and Vanzir alive only thanks to my silence, the thought of training under Morgaine doesn't seem as daunting as it did. But then, Hyto returns to shatter my life. Captured and swept off to the Dragon Reaches, can I manage to stay alive long enough to escape, even as Smoky's father intends to break my spirit, then my body?

    I love this series.

I grew up on Xena, Warrior Princess, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is like a sexier adult version of the girls kicking evil's butt. Lots of action with a liberal dose of sex.

This book is a must read if you have enjoyed the Otherworld seri

This book is a must read if you have enjoyed the Otherworld series. It is an extremely fast read that you will not want to put down. Camille is facing Hyto, Smoky's father in this novel. I would not call this book easy going, it is rather dark. You will see how strong Camille is and how her character's strength continues to grow both emotionally and magically. I really can't say much more without giving away things, so I will just tell you now to go purchase this book!

I would suggest reading Iris's story before reading Courting Darkness. Parts of Iris's story are mentioned a few times in this book, but it does not require reading it to fully understand.

Iris's story is located in the book Hexed, it is named Ice Shards, the book also includes 3 other novellas from other authors.

I breezed through this series. The books are very well written and the characters are very well developed. I'd suggest this book to others most definitely.

    I Also Recommend:

    A Great Read.

The reason I gave this book four stars instead of five is because I felt ripped off. This is book ten in the series, and for at least the past one or two stories in this series had hinted about Iris' past and then nothing but a few glimpses, of what happened on the journey. So mad. But the rest of the story was good, The right blend of action, romance, and characters you love to follow. I love that each book in this series focuses around one of the three sisters. Series does need to be read in order.

    Great series

I love how these books alternate between telling the stories of 3 sisters. They are all 3 very different and that makes it more interesting. Although this book was a bit darker than previous books of the series it was good to have a story break from the normal fighting evil plot that has been occuring in other books. You definitely have to start at book one, but this is a wonderful series.

    Worth the wait!

I have to say that I was not prepared for the plot in this installment of the series, but I had a difficult time putting it down.
