I want to support new authors, and I think Ms.Ford has real potential; that being said I find her dialogue to be ridiculous. These supposed 300 thousand year old gods have BFF's and say dude and bro- with a straight face- really? It doesn't make sense that a somewhat supreme being would be so unduly influenced by what could be a digression of the human language, not to mention a blip in the timeline. Aren't these people all adults? Why do they speak like dimwitted teenagers? I think Ms.Ford does herself a disservice. I think the themes are really imaginitive. I hope Ms.Ford will graduate the mentality of her characters, then she'll really have something. I look forward to her progression. I'm rooting for her.

Damian's Oracle is one of those great book that once you past the start you cant stop until the end. I will recommend this book to any one who really loves mythology. The only thing I would like to say to the author is not to do a lot of rapid changes. Especially in the beginning of other future books that she might do, because were getting to know the character. Another book that I will recommend to people who really love this book including myself is Damian's Assassin. The sequel to Damian's Oracle.

Didn't put it down till I reached the end. Great characters, interesting concepts, humor, a little romance as well as some action. Ready to start book two!

The book kept me interested to the end. I had a hard time following who was speaking when at times and the book jumped around a bit so that I didn't know quite when things were happening. It was an extremely good effort though.

I enjoyed this book. I was surprised about the guality and would recomend it to most sll ages...well starting with teens. A romance without sex scenes is refreshing.

However, I am having a hard time getting past some rather distracting elements of the writing style. Firstly, I have difficulties wrapping my brain around an all-powerful, ancient "White God" calling people "dude" and referring to other men as "BFF"s. That particular dialogue/narration does not seem to fit the character that the author is attempting to build and creates a very large distraction. And secondly, the various speakers in the character dialogue are not adequately identified, leaving the reader puzzling over whether the italicized sentence they just read was the narrating character's thoughts or another character texting messages on the computer! Overall, from what I have encountered, the writing is choppy, unpolished, and sounds like it was written by a teenager. I would very much like to discover more about the intriguing plot elements, but I do not know if I can get past the writing.

I honestly thought this would be something I would regret downloaded, but it turned out being something totally amazing! I loved every minute of it, and even did not mind the typos.
I definitely recommend it.

For a free book, it was very good. There are a few instances where it seems as if the author hadn't gone back and revised (i.e. the "+" that appeared in the middle of a word and one sentence that had a word placed out of standard order for the English language) but otherwise a good read.
It may be because the last books I read were by internationally renowned authors (i.e. JK Rowling, Tamora Pierce, etc.) but I felt as if the word choice was a bit immature at times. I can understand the use of swear words in the context of dialogue as it develops the character; however, when it spills over into the lines outside of quotes, it seems as if the author hasn't fully matured.
I felt however that it was a bit difficult at times to figure out which character was speaking when conversations with more than 2 characters arose.
For me, the engaging plot more than made up for these issues. I'm excited to read Damian's Assassin which I intend to start tomorrow. This would be a good read for those looking for a fresh take on fantasy and magic with a touch of romance.

There are plenty of typos, the timeline of the story can be confusing, and the characters dont have enough depth to help the reader keep them straight. That being said, I had a hard time putting this one down. The story is excellent.
