Knowing that healing comes in its own time.

Raw, real and relevent. This is a story of one alcoholic's journey through the 12 steps of recovery. Finding, feeling, and forgiving. Powerful. High-powerful!

    Incredible book!

I started reading this book and could not stop... So full of meaning and hope. You experience the addiction with Buddy, an alcoholic who has been dead 29 years, as he finally has the courage to take that first step. It is only by dying that Buddy finally has the chance to live. Excellent book! Don't miss the author's note at the end of the book.

    Brilliant

Brillantly written, Dead Drunk is a poignant story about a man who admits and accepts that he is an alcoholic long after he is dead. As he works his way through AA's 12- Step Program Buddy becomes accountable and atones his actions.

    I loved this book!

I'm not even 100 pages into this book and feel like it's my son'

I'm not even 100 pages into this book and feel like it's my son's story and thankfully he's still alive! But, believe me, this has got to be his unknown story to us.. It's giving me not only chills, but that raw gut-churning and a sad heavy-hearted feeling that I get every time I hear that he didn't make it to work after a weekend. Thank you for this wonderful informative book that will help thousands of families understand what their "Drunk" is thinking and going through. It definitely will help my daugher & I understand my son's actions and words when he seems "at a loss to explain it to us" We realize only He can help himself, but we're both standing strong to support him.
Too bad this book isn't available in hard or soft cover additions, I'd purchase three copies of it, hands-down.
