Overview

One bad corpse can ruin your whole day.

Rhiannon’s Law, Book 1

After leaving the flash and sass of Miami for the no-nonsense groove of New York, Rhiannon Murphy is eager for a clean slate and fresh start. A bartender by trade, a loud mouth by choice, and a necromancer by chance, she’s managed to keep her nasty habit of seeing dead people hidden from those around her—until now.

The dangerous and deliciously sexy vampire, Disco, knows her secret. When he strolls into her club to ask for help investigating the mysterious disappearances of his kind, she quickly gets the vibe that he’s not exactly the kind of guy you tell no.

Yet in a world where vampires peddle their blood as the latest and greatest drug of choice, it’s only a matter of time before the next big thing hits the market. Someone is killing vampires to steal their hearts and, unlike Rhiannon, this isn’t their first stroll around the undead block.

Warning: Includes violence, strong language, and references to sexual abuse that may disturb some readers. Oblique references to ’80s films are hidden here and there, which could result in tickling your geek-like fancy.

Fantastic New Dark Urban Fantasy Series!

    CAUTION MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS]

In truth, I didn't have high hopes for this book. I had never heard of this author prior to my purchase but the title drew my attention. I thought this would be about another spoiled heroine, but on the contrary, this book was as fascinating as its title. I was completely entertained and engaged through the entire book, and I love the authors creative view on the origins of the vampires. I know some people have complained about the ending's entirely different focus and cliff-hanger but I found it refreshing and exciting. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment The Renfield Syndrome.
I highly recommend fellow dark urban fantasy readers give this book a try. For all the Rhiannon and Disco fans, check out the link on the author's site for the vignette "More Than Words". The scene takes place between the final two chapters of Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between, directly before Rhiannon leaves to go to her apartment.

This book is a newly revised edition from the original 3 books.

This book is a newly revised edition from the original 3 books. (this book number 1 in the series). this was an EXCELLENT murder/mystery with a great love twist tied in. the main character, Rihannon, is a kick ass check who's got her independence tied down... Disco is a vampire in need of her unique skills to help find out who's been killing his kind. This book had me on the edge of my seat constantly. Forget your classic and boring damsel in distress, this book takes that and puts it in on the spin cycle! this is a great refresher from books that seem to require a male rescuer.. which makes this exciting and unpredictable! this book has a great twist, and keeps you guessing who the culprit might be- trust me when I say, whatever you keep guessing- you will never get it right, that was the sweet spot for this book. I can't wait for the next in this series!! the ending to this book was a great cliffhanger, which had me begging for the author to hurry with the next set of revisions for the following books. Don't miss reading this book!!!!

Bartender by trade, loudmouth by choice and necromancer by chang

Bartender by trade, loudmouth by choice and necromancer by change, Rhiannon Murphy finds herself helping the deliciously sexy vampire, Disco in investigating the mysterious vampire disappearances in this riveting erotic urban fantasy romance.
This steady to fast paced plot keeps readers hovering on the edge of anticipation with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the intriguing world arouses curiosity and ensures that the reader wants to know every last detail. The characters are strong, charismatic and grab the reader attention from the very beginning while the well orchestrated suspense and excitement draw the reader deeper into the story.
Rhiannon has some emotional issues from her past that hinders ability to trust and she really doesn’t understand her affinity for the dead or undead, so when she finds herself attracted to Disco, she fights giving in to his demands. The reader can’t help but get caught up in their romance as Disco tries to penetrate Rhiannon’s walls and learn her secrets while their desires burn up the pages with some hot and steamy sex scenes.
The world J.A. Saare has created is fascinating and has a lot of interesting elements and surprising twists to keep the readers guessing. All of the characters are compelling but Rhiannon really stands out, she’s insecure and has no clue about the world she gotten caught up in, but yet she’s a strong kick ass heroine, kind of contradictory but certainly works for her and Disco of course is just too hot and maybe too good to be true, well have to see if the other shoe drops or if there is more than meets the eye. While I thought the beginning was a little slow to start off, it wasn’t long before I was completely caught up in the story and I can’t wait find out what happens next… especially as the conclusion leads me to believe it will be a things about to get really interesting in her world.
