Meet the Author

I am a podcaster, movie and music lover, owner of the Talkingship website, and long time secret writer. I decided to sit down and force myself to finally put together a story and get it into people's hands. That happened with the release of my first novella, Deadlocked, on November 9th, 2011.For updates on my writing, news about upcoming projects, and to see a ludicrous amount of other fantastic things, head over to talkingship.com/wp/

Omg AR Wise is on fire!

Jesus H. Christ! If you thought part one was good, part two will give you an effing HEART ATTACK! Great writing without a doubt, dialouge is smooth and witty, I can see this easily being made into a movie. Can't wait to read part three! Though, I need to stop reading his books before bedtime. -JLM

Read DL 1 in 2 days

Read this one (DL 2) in one. Book one wasy scary, a little gross and had some suspense but book two almost gave me night terrors, had a disgusting part in it and nonstop suspense. I recommend you get Deadlock one (which is free) and then get this one as well, it costs less than spare change in your car and is even better.

    I am totally hooked!!!

This was better than the last book. I think A.R. Wise devised these books for the whole purpose of sucking me deeper and deeper into his world. Well, I hope he's satisfied. I am totally hooked. I have read a lot of zombie novels where there was no real purpose except to run and hide. These books have a deeper storyline and complex characters. They keep you needing to know more. I don't want to give anything away but I want you to understand. I have read all of the Deadlocked series at this point. If you like zombie books. You HAVE to read these.

    Laura rocks.

A strong woman, an even stronger kid.. I'm zipping through these books because I can't stand to put them down. It's gut wrenching, and it makes you want to know what happens next! Keep the coming A. R. Wise! You have gained a loyal fan!

Like I said earlier Deadlocked 2 picks up, without missing beat,

Like I said earlier Deadlocked 2 picks up, without missing beat, immediately after the first book but from David's wife Laura's perspective. The zombie apocalypse continues to allow the crazy's to come out of the wood work, not sure how they manage but they do. Now it is up to Laura to keep the family together. She's powered by adrenaline, grief, Oxycontin and the fundamental instinct to protect her children. Wise believes that women characters are, more often that not, not portrayed as real women probably would be in these situations. I find it very refreshing when a strong willed stand alone female protagonists hit my ear, there should be more. I will be listening to the next chapter, I just can't help myself.
