Overview

In the past decade, depression rates have skyrocketed, and one in four Americans will suffer from major depression at some point in their lives. Where have we gone wrong? Dr. Stephen Ilardi sheds light on our current predicament and reminds us that our bodies were never designed for the sleep-deprived, poorly nourished, frenzied pace of twenty-first century life.

Inspired by the extraordinary resilience of aboriginal groups like the Kaluli of Papua New Guinea, Dr. Ilardi prescribes an easy-to-follow, clinically proven program that harks back to what our bodies were originally made for and what they continue to need. The Depression Cure program has already delivered dramatic results, helping even those who have failed to respond to traditional medications.

The Only Depression Book You'll Ever Need

Finally a book on how to battle depression the natural way! Easy read and extremely compelling information. I couldn't put the book down,....I learned so much. I bought this book for myself and for others. There are 6 steps and I am currently following them and let me tell you, it really works! He explains how we were meant to be hunter gatherers and now that we live in a modern world, we unintentially beat down our serotonin levels, and how to create it back up. A must read for anyone who wants to learn about how they became depressed and what to do about it.

    Great Advice

This book has useful suggestions for combating depression. The only down side is that when someone is in the middle of a depressive episode, they won't have the energy to act on them! However, implementing these ideas when one isn't too depressed can help prevent the onset of the next episode.

Excellent way to recuperate with out drugs.

I am very intolerant on taking prescriptions that will give you serious side effects. This book will educate you on a weekly basis on the alternate ways to cure depression. It will explain the exact doses of all the natural vitamins you need to take and the reason why. The best of all is that you do not have to start all six steps at once, which it will make it easier for recuperation. I highly recommend this book!

    Excellent book!

I found this book on depression to be most helpful. I think everyone can benefit from incorporating Illardi's 6 principles into their daily life. He has done the research and it makes sense. I have been reading more and more about omega 3s and everything seems to add back to what Illardi believes.

    Good depression facts...

Good info, especially if this is your first read on depression. However, there was very little I hadn't seen before.

    Good Common Sense Book!

I was told about this book by my doctor who took notice of a change in me over time. It's for those who may have a mild to moderate form of depression or who just want to learn how everyday small changes can affect your mood and happiness levels.
