Inspired by the extraordinary resilience of aboriginal groups like the Kaluli of Papua New Guinea, Dr. Ilardi prescribes an easy-to-follow, clinically proven program that harks back to what our bodies were originally made for and what they continue to need. The Depression Cure program has already delivered dramatic results, helping even those who have failed to respond to traditional medications.

The Only Depression Book You'll Ever Need

Finally a book on how to battle depression the natural way! Easy read and extremely compelling information. I couldn't put the book down,....I learned so much. I bought this book for myself and for others. There are 6 steps and I am currently following them and let me tell you, it really works! He explains how we were meant to be hunter gatherers and now that we live in a modern world, we unintentially beat down our serotonin levels, and how to create it back up. A must read for anyone who wants to learn about how they became depressed and what to do about it.

    Great Advice

This book has useful suggestions for combating depression. The only down side is that when someone is in the middle of a depressive episode, they won't have the energy to act on them! However, implementing these ideas when one isn't too depressed can help prevent the onset of the next episode.

    Good Common Sense Book!

I was told about this book by my doctor who took notice of a change in me over time. It's for those who may have a mild to moderate form of depression or who just want to learn how everyday small changes can affect your mood and happiness levels.

Excellent way to recuperate with out drugs.

I am very intolerant on taking prescriptions that will give you serious side effects. This book will educate you on a weekly basis on the alternate ways to cure depression. It will explain the exact doses of all the natural vitamins you need to take and the reason why. The best of all is that you do not have to start all six steps at once, which it will make it easier for recuperation. I highly recommend this book!

    Depressed? Read it.

I have struggled with depression and this book has definitely helped me in several ways. There is no "cure for all" but the book is worth a read for sure. It has helped me manage my depression better and given me a different way to approach it. I like that the author does not write with a "snap out of it" tone which some books on depression tend to do.

    Concrete, factual and informative

I purchased this to see if it would help clients in my private practice. I find it is another method of informing people who have suffered or are suffering from depression about its effects on the mind and body, and the non-pharmaceutical means to overcome it. Many people struggle to find a medication that works for them, or continues to work for them. This author offers well researched lifestyle alternatives. He also describes, very accurately, the symptoms, attitudes and experiences of people living with depression. I consider it to be very validating for someone who is trying to find their way out of this illness. Much of what he is presenting is already well understood and validated in the research literature. Thus, it is not necessarily that he has a 'new cure' for depression. Rather, he takes what has been known and provides evidence that it works through his clinical research and practice. Again, this approach can be validating for someone who has not found other solutions to be helpful. I bought two additional copies to lend to clients after I read it myself. I recommend it.

Good info, especially if this is your first read on depression. However, there was very little I hadn't seen before.
