    Part 21

I was speechless. Seemed I was getting chummy with all the spirits here. "Mo-moon Spirit Yue!" I stuttered. Her lovely blue eyes looked troubled. "We have seen that your friend is hurt" She said. I nodded, looking down. "This matter is beyond our hands now. You can stop it though. There is a cure" she murmured. I looked up at her, hope sparking in side of me like a flame. And then she told me what I needed to do. No I am not going to tell you yet, you will find out soon enough. Aftr she told me, she started glowing and touched my forehead lightly. Everything was bathed in moonlight and I felt myself falling. I woke up with a jerk. The sun was up, and it was snowing again. I shot up. How long had I slept?! I packed up my blanket sloppily and started running. I walked a few hours yesterday, so I should be there soon. I knew the cure. That thought made me hopeful. But I still have to get there on time, I remind myself. I eat as I walk. At one point, I am walking across a vast snowy field, when suddenly I sink four feet into the snow. Cursing under my breath I pull myself out, chilly all over. It is a good thing I am 5'2. It is about afternoon when I begin to see the great city in the distance. Suddenly filled with energy, I run the rest of the way. I am on the border of the city when a voice calls out to me from behind. "Stop! Who are you, and what is your buisness here?" Demands a deep voice. I turn and face the guard, he has a skeptical look on his face. "I, uh, am a waterbender, my name is Cynali, and, umm, I need to go to the Spirit Oasis" I say, plastering a fake smile on my face. The guard snorts. "Come with me" he orders. My shoulders droop, and I follow him into the city. It is huge and beautiful, the buildings glistening like crystal in the sun. Canals run across the city, and there are many carefully sculpted bridges. I despise the pitiful looks I recieve from passerbyes, and I force myself to focus on the guards back. We come to a huge regal ice pagoda and begin to climb the steeps stairs. At the top, the guard pushes me inside the pagoda and shuts the door behind me. I chew my bottom lip and turn to walk foreward, but a woman is in my way. "Who are you?" I ask quietly. The woman has long white hair that sharply contrasts against her dark skin. I don't like the look she is giving me. "I am Kya, daughter of Avatar Aang and Master Katara and cheif of the North City. Who are YOU?" she demands. "My name is Cynali, and I am a waterbender" I answer, and I tell her everything, leaving out the part about Noatak being Amon. Her expression softens as I get to the part about Akiro and how afraid I am. "Moon Spirit Yue came to me in a dream. She told me the cure, and I need to go to the Spirit Oasis" I explained, my voice taking on a pleading tone. She nodded, her face grim. "I will take you, if you do us a favor". "What is it?" I ask. "Heal one of our guards, he was attacked by Tarrlok. He has this Blood Plague" she told me. To be continued at the next result.....
