Overview

The USA TODAY bestseller that introduced Sienna Jensen and Lucas Wolfe and launched new adult romance novelist Emily Snow.

Sienna’s dreams lie in California, but when she discovers her grandmother’s Nashville home has been foreclosed, she has no other choice than to move back to Music City, where she comes face-to-face with the flawed, gorgeous man she never thought she’d see again—and who now holds the deed to her grandma’s estate.

Millionaire rock star Lucas Wolfe is just as surprised to find the outspoken redhead glaring at him from across a courtroom. He still can’t get the night Sienna spent with him out of his mind, and the chemistry between them is as undeniable as ever. Now, Lucas is determined to do whatever it takes to lure Sienna into his bed, so he makes a deal with her: if she spends ten days with him, playing by his rules, he’ll hand over the deed to her grandmother’s home.

Though she agrees to the arrangement for her family’s sake, Sienna struggles with the promises she’s made to herself and a past that still haunts her. As Lucas’s game of seduction continues and Sienna is introduced to his dark, erotic world, she realizes that at any moment, she could be devoured.

Editorial Reviews

USA Today
"Not many authors can write 'bedroom talk' without it sounding a bit like a porno. But, man, Emily can, or should I say, Lucas? He's a rock star, and these lines just seem to fall out of his mouth and make me blush. He's sexy, he's hot and, dang, I really want him. If you are a fan of breezy romance reads, I highly recommend this."

Story line was OK up to the end... it was like the author got bored and decided to end the book immediately. SO many unresolved issues just left hanging. So disappointing since it ended so abruptly. Numerous errors throughout as well which actually became distracting.

After saying NO to the rockstar when he tried to do something Sienna was not comfortable with, their "goodbye" was not the nicest one. But after 2 years, Sienna is still physically affected by this guy. But how can she like the person who is trying to demolish her childhood home for the sake of a new recording studio? And why is he so interested in Sienna after everything that happened? Because she said NO and he sees her as challenge? Or is there something more into it? It is hard to write erotic novel with interesting plotline but not being repetitive. But Emily Snow did it. She grabbed my attention right from the first chapter and completely sucked me into the story. Story in Devoured never dragged, there was right amount of suspense, storyline, character development and sex. I just really really liked this story and since I completely devoured it in very short time I am planning to re-read it at some point again. Lucas Wolfe and Sienna Jensen. As author describes them - predator and prey. Well, even his name sounds predatory... Lucas Wolfe is without doubt one hot, confident, charming, irresistible piece of man. He was definitely gifted with his words and became excellent seducer in my eyes. Lucas charmed me from the very first meeting and conversation he had with Sienna. And did I mention that he is a ROCKSTAR? Sienna Jensen is a lovable narrator, she is really a nice person, always helpful and self-sacrificing. The only person she was able to defy is Lucas. The ending was a little bit rushed for me and minimum questions were answered and I definitely needed more. BUT I just find out that there will be sequel soon so I seriously cannot wait!!! Excellent debut by this author, she created very interesting characters and very engaging story.

Good-ish story. Too many unanswered questions for my taste. Though i did enjoy the eroticism of the story. Yeah it skated the perfect line between sexy as hell, and a lil demeaning. But come on...what girl has never had the please conquer me fantasy? Glad i didnt pay to read this though. Too short.

UGH. Anyone giving this 5 stars has clearly never read a *good* book before. I read the reviews ahead of time and really wanted to love this, but the characters were so juvenile. A bad boy protagonist is one thing, but he literally tells her to GTFO not once, not twice, but THREE times in the course of their relationship and she pathetically lets him keep doing it as soon as HE decides he wants her again. It's stupid. And repetitive. And I could not wait to finish it I was so annoyed with the story. 1 star for the cover art being hot. That's about the only good thing it has going for it :/

Got about half way through the book and couldn't continue.  The author has yet to bestow the main guy with any redeeming features and the main girl couldn't be less interesting. Not sure what the author is trying to do but the main girl needs to grow a backbone and have some self respect, and the main guy is just an a**hole, not a hot brooding bad boy

Connect with the characters. The dialogue seemed so short at times. Sometimes made no sense and doesnt explain stuff. I want my eight bucks back.

This book was so predictable. I was rushing just to get through it. Unfortunately, the storyline lacked character development and felt rushed. I didnt connect with any of the characters, it was just so BLAHHHHH. The ending was sweet, and that is why I gave it the 2 stars..

I love the story and drama that unfolds but wish there was more to this story. It was a very quick read.

I really liked the beginning and middle of the book, then it just kind of stopped. It had great potential but just kind of fell short.

I'm so disappointed in the publishing company. This is the same cover as Olivia Cunning's "Tempt Me". It is one thing to use the same model, but it is the EXACT same picture!

I enjoyed the book and was anxious for the follow-up to come out in January but it has been delayed and that is disappointing.

I've never been the kid of girl who is into the rockstar thing; to much drama and public scandal for this bookish gal. That being said, I'l like a little Lucas in my life. I have a soft spot for angst ridden, tattooed bad boys. Lucas certainly fits the bill! I'll put my Lucas flag aside now, lol. Devoured was well written and well edited. Emily Snow did a wonderful job of pulling me into the story; making me want to know more about the characters and holding out just long enough to feed me some more about them, nibble by nibble. The plot unfolds neatly and in a well paced manner, with an expert like mixing of drama and eroticism. The hot factor was ever present throughout the story, and the sex scenes scorching, but kept so inline with the story that I didn't feel like I was reading a "dirty novel" (nothing against them, in fact I'm a big fan) but instead a novel with some deliciously dirty bits to it. Towards the wrap up of things I pretty much forgot that this is not a stand alone, but part of a series. I saw what was looking to be a nicely wrapped package run out of tape just enough to remind me of that fact and mak me say, "Damn it!" I'm completely resigned to reading the following books because now I have to know what comes next. Snow did a fantastic job of lulling me into a false sense of security before pulling the rug out and making me want more.

Georgina is a succubus who’d really rather be human. She works at a bookshop, has a cat, and reads books. Sure she does the whole succubus thing when she needs the energy boost but it’s not something that she really enjoys. So to make up for it, she tries to choose men who aren’t good people to begin with. Because of what she is, she can never get close to men and have a relationship because she can’t control her feeding powers. However, when she happens to meet two men in the same night, she finds it difficult to keep her distance. I like that not only is there romance in this story but there is suspense as well. There is a murderer going around killing immortals in the neighborhood. Pretty soon, when notes start showing up for Georgina, it appears that she’s gained the murderers attention. However, being me, I liked the romance part. I think, for being a book about a succubus, that Mead did a fantastic job. It wasn’t a closed door romance but it wasn’t terribly explicit. She kept the story on track and kept the story rolling. I also enjoyed that Mead doesn’t go into too much detail. You meet a lot of characters and she doesn’t spend pages informing you that Hugh is an imp and what that means. Instead she shows us who they are as the story continues. Which for me worked. I enjoyed this story and like any good series, we are left with some questions answered while others emerge. While I didn’t fall head over heals with this one, I have a feeling this is one of those stories that builds with every book. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Georgina and the gang.

Great story. Loved all the books. However having to wait on Consumed to finish the story is getting on my last nerve.

Lucas is the lead singer for YTS - Your Toxic Sequel and Sienna is a wardrobe assistant.  He is immediately drawn to her and she to him but Lucas has a dark past that he is unable/unwilling to share.  He feels that he need to push Sienna away to keep her safe from his crazy ex.  The rest of the band members have more focus in the story which adds a lot of depth to the story.  The passion and angst will leave you wanting more of not only Lucas and Sienna but the other characters as well.
