This is a very good book. It covers all the basics of disaster preparedness. In case there's any confusion, this is a reprint of the 1st Edition of Dr. Bradley's Handbook to Practical Disaster Preparedness for the Family. The newest (3rd) edition of that book includes several new topics, including solar storms, EMP attacks, and provides a very nice chapter on specific preparations for hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, tsunamis, and earthquakes. It is, however, a few dollars more. If money's a big issue, get this older edition. If not, you might want to spring for the newest edition.

A new dimension into preparing for the worst. A common sense approach is taken with this book, without going to extremes that others do. The author gives economical alternatives to many expensive prepper items on the market.
