Great Story from Lucia Viti about her fathers time in Viet Nam

This is a great book about a navy doctor in Viet Nam and interviews with the people whose lives he touched. You really get the feel of how brave and honorable these marines and corpsmen were and the horror of war that they had to deal with. A must read for all americans.

    A gripping story

Dr Tom's War is the sometimes emotional journey of young lady's search to learn more about her father. Along the way, the reader gets a exceptional boots on the ground view of what life as a doctor, corpsman or marine in Vietnam was like. Lucia Viti not only tells her father's tale but also gives a voice to those who served in 1967 and returned and to those who never came back. The book is a great read for both history and military enthusiasts.

    A must read

Well researched with the true story of the war with real marines, doctors, and corpsmen. You cannot put it down once you open it. It provides a sense of awe with these men. It also gives a true reflection of the daughter's emotional journey to discover her Father.
