Howard the DuckDirector: Willard Huyck, Lea Thompson, Jeffrey Jones, Tim Robbins
In this sci-fi comedy from executive producer George Lucas, Howard the Duck is an extra-terrestrial fowl who is accidentally beamed to earth by physicist Dr. Jenning (Jeffrey Jones) and his assistant Phil (Tim Robbins). The two go looking for Howard and find him in the home of Beverly Switzer (Lea Thompson), who was rescued by the interstellar duck from some mean-looking thugs. Beverly and Phil are friends, and when the government finds out about Howard, she helps Phil and Dr. Jenning hide him from the authorities until they can zap him back home. In the meantime, several wild chases and spectacular special effects keep the picture rolling along.

What can i say that hasnt already been said about talking ducks in movies? it just goes well together, and it most certainly fits here. Howard the Duck captivaes you and never lets you go. From the beginning when the duck is reading 'playduck' magazine to the tear jerking ending when lea thompson kisses howard, you want to see them together forever...but at the end howard does play a wicked guitar, which in my humble opinion makes him the best duck ever in a movie, bar none, if you have a VHS recorder and a dollar rental store around, go out right now and rent it! you wont be disappointed!
Perhaps the greatest film starring a talking duck, of all time! I challenge you to name a worthy challenger. Howard the Duck is just a cool movie, watch it, buy it, and watch it again.
A timeless movie. Howard was a movie loved by many children. This DVD is for the inner child in each fan.
My husband had to have this movie... why...I am not sure. It was OK, but not great. Some of it would probably scare little ones, IF they scare easy. It also had some partial nudity that I was NOT expecting, so I don't think it is properly rated.
yes just like look who's talking but better a talking duck from outer space by the name Howard this movie is pretty funny i mean imange a duck becoming your friend although its just a fanasty real cool
This is what would happen if ducks were the top of the food chain
My husband and I both remember this movie from our childhood. We both love it!! And for the price B&N offers it, YOU CAN''T BEAT IT!!
