Overview

An ocean-themed Florida amusement park comes under attack from an angry Great White shark in this third installment of the horror series. The film maintains only a loose relationship to the original Steven Spielberg hit, centering on Mike (Dennis Quaid) and Sean (John Putch), the sons of police chief Martin Brody (originally played by Roy Scheider). Mike works at Sea World, where a baby Great White shark has accidentially been let into the park. Soon, the baby's vicious and extremely powerful mother comes in search of her child. The film focuses most of its attention on the series of tense shark attacks that follow, as tourists run for their lives while the park workers struggle to destroy the sharp-toothed beast. The suspense sequences were made somewhat more memorable during the film's original release with 3-D photography, an attribute lost on video, thereby removing the most distinctive element of an otherwise run-of-the-mill sequel.

    The Best Jaws!

Out of every movie in the Jaws franchise, I liked this one the best. The acting is good, the plot is interesting, I loved it all. Great film!

Special effects are hillarious, but the plot is horrible

Even though "Jaws" was filmed in the mid-seventies and this was filmed in the eighties, the original still has better cinematography. Although, I got a really good laugh at the end of the movie in a scene that reminded me of the 'Lancelot and the Marsh Castle' scene in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

    Not a good sequel!

Question. Why make a sequel if it has very little to do with the first two? Ok, so the movie has some good parts. Like the shark effects [the machanical one that is] and some of the acting. The plot is bad. There I said it. And First off, Shark mothers do not follow or stick around with their offspring. And in reality, great whites can not grow to 35 feet unless they were a megaladon. And the fact that the only thing that this movie has in common with the first two is the brody brothers. That is it. Everything else is completly different from the other two. One of the worst sequels in the series. The bottom line: A lame excques for a sequel!

I never thought this movie was going to be great, but my mind changed after a bit. I thought it was amazing.

    What Went Wrong?!

Jaws 3 (aka Jaws 3-D) is one of the worst sequels in a series that I have ever seen. The entire plot was a good idea but it didn't work out quite well. The characters were boring and I can't even remember half of their names. The special effects.. let's not go there. They probably were better in 3-d but on your t.v they just stink. However our favorite shark makes some great apperances in the movie but sadly it can't save it. Jaws 3 is one of those movies that is so bad that you won't mind watching it a couple of times.

    3-D?

Would be much better if it was re-released in 3-D. You can tell it was in 3-D at one time.

    INCREDIBLE

it may look stupid because it's a Jaws sequel, but it is REALLY thrilling and fun. The bet Jaws movie out of the first three, filled with action. However, I do not agree that it is only rated PG. In truth it is almost an R rating

    Awsome !

This is probably the best movie i've ever seen. It has a good story, and the finest actors. The 3-D effects are incredible. It's like your in the movie! One day, I hope I can be eaten by a shark.

    Questionably Good

The graphics of this movie may be a little bad at times. But all in all this movie almost equals up to its predecessors. It has less story line then Jaws and Jaws 2 but it is still good. It is a good installment to the Jaws series!
