Quentin Tarantino's sprawling homage to action films of both the East and the West reaches its conclusion in this continuation of 2003's ultra-violent Kill Bill Vol. 1. Having dispatched several of her arch-enemies in the first film, The Bride (Uma Thurman) continues in Kill Bill Vol. 2 on her deadly pursuit of her former partners in the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, who, in a furious assault, attempted to murder her and her unborn child on her wedding day. As The Bride faces off against allies-turned-nemeses Budd (Michael Madsen) and Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), she flashes back to the day of her deadly wedding, and we learn of how she was recruited to join the DiVAS, her training under unforgiving martial arts master Pai Mei (Liu Chia-hui), and her relationship with Squad leader Bill (David Carradine), which changed from love to violent hatred. Originally planned as a single film, Kill Bill grew into an epic-scale two-part project totaling more than four hours in length; as with the first film, Kill Bill Vol. 2 includes appearances by genre-film icons Sonny Chiba, Michael Parks, Larry Bishop, and Sid Haig; Wu-Tang Clan producer and turntablist RZA and filmmaker and composer Robert Rodriguez both contributed to the musical score.

Though this movie lacks some of the dialogue and fitting music of the first film, there is less horseplay slowing down the plot's outcome. It's not as hoaky as some parts in the first film, and the plot is revealed evenly, giving a satisfactory outcome because absolutely everything we questioned at the end of the first film is answered. Very good movie, and I'm very much a fan of both films.
I didn't think this movie coould be better then the first but then again i'm not much of a gambler. Uma Thurman is everything you want in a leading lady. She is attractive yet strong and assertive. You could take her home to the parents but at night she could whip you while you wear a diaper. WATCH THIS MOVIE IF YOU LIKE AWESOMENESS.
I was really surprised that i disliked this movie. It seemed like the kind of thing that would appeal to a person like me. I think most people liked it because it seemed like they should. This movie is a straight, cliched story that has been told before all too many times. There is no twist and no innovation to a tired plot. See the first one, it is much more creative and original. This is too bad, since tarantino is my second favorite director of all time (sorry Quentin, Kubrick is just better)
Tarantino's work is pure genius. I thought, how can Tarantino top Kill Bill Vol. 1? But what he's done in Vol. 2 is flesh out the story. Vol. 1 has incredible fight sequences; Vol. 2 does some nice character development and gives us the whole story. Uma Thurman really throws herself into the part. You'll be amazed at this conclusion to a masterpiece.
Once again, Tarantino amazed his audience. Kill Bill was originally written as one complete film, but because the studio said it would be too long for a modern audience, Tarantino had to concede and split the movie in half. This is probably why the first scene of Volume 2 is kinda cheesy - he had already filmed the entire movie and then had to find a way to split it and have two different release dates. I always laugh a little during the first scene of Uma Thurman talking to the camera while she's driving. It is rumored that this was Quinton's way of thumbing his nose at the studio execs for making him split the movie - he knew there was no cool way to split the movie, so he just added in this scene to catch everybody up on the first half and he notoriously made it cheesy to show the studio that they had made a big mistake when they forced him to split it. As far as the rest of Vol. 2 goes, it is every bit as good as Vol. 1, plus some. I always seem to forget while watching Vol. 1 that certain scenes are in Vol. 2, so I can never just watch the one without the other immediately after. (At least in the same weekend!) Very highly recommended.
WOW! I would'nt change a thing!!! Ilove it so much, it will never get old. It's a love story you've gotta see!
Quentin Terantino was one of the many film makers that brought back the independent film from the slump that it was in the 80's. His vision and style as a film maker are what makes him stand out from the rest of the film makers that are only interested in money making 'Blockbusters'. Kill Bill Vol.2 was given a different approach than the 1st., it was more of character development than anything else but, still keeping the raw cinematography and dialogue that makes it a Terantino film. Some argue that all his films are always the same, if you've watched all his films you'll know what I'm talking about. This is a great film otherwise!
This film was pretty good but it seemed like something was missing and that it didn't go well as planned. The movie was good I tell ya that much but it didn't have as much fighting as the first one did and not as much blood but it mostly had talk and talk and talk. The fight scenes were a tad bit short but were okay especially the part when the one who has the eye patch recieves an unexpected blow from The Bride which is gross by the way. Alright sequel.
Kill Bill Vol.2 is a outstanding film with some of the best acting i have ever seen everyone must see this movie it is that good.
Kill Bill vol.2 is better than Kill Bill vol.1. It was great how tarantino showed that Bill was more of an old man. I also liked how Tarantino introduced Pai Mei. It was awesome what Uma did to Elle Driver. Tarantino showed alot of passion through this film. It has to be one of the best films in 2004. So BUY IT NOW
Don't watch Kill Bill Vol. 2 until you've seen Vol. 1. You can't appreciate how different and how good Vol. 2 is unless you've seen the equally good first part of the series. The Bride is making her way towards Bill and her odyssey of revenge has a renewed purpose. Tarantino's direction takes what could easily be just another violent movie and raises it to a higher level. There is so much going on both in the visual sense and in the subtle uncurrents that we ended up discussing the film for hours.
I was amazed at the first movie and how good it was. But Tarantino's vision and story telling in the seconed surpassed all my expectations. This has to be one of the greatest action movies ever created. The story line is simple wich is one of it's better points, the script was awsome, the action was brilliant, and the acting was incredible. Tarantino is a fab director and I can't wait to see what he'll do next. This movie has to be a classic.
Tarintino did a great job with this combo, though the first one was violent and left you wanting more of the story line this one did the oposite it gave you the story line and left you wanting uma to start severing limbs, it was a great balance I can't wait for tarintino's next film
This movie was okay. It didn't have as good as dialogue like in the first. there are a few good parts. The first one is violent, but this one is kind of slowed down on the violence. One of the gross was when Elle driver's eyeball was squahed. That wasn't as good of a movie as the first one. I ahve to admit, I'm a huge fan of the first one. But I also like violent movies. This one was not very good, but I liked some parts. So I guess that makes it okay.
This was NOTHING like Kill Bill Pt.1, which ranks with Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction as his best. There is maybe 2 minutes of action. Not that I was expecting this to be an action movie, but Vol.1 was so cool I at least expected some. The characters were much more boring, and they talked way too much. It seemed like "Yeah, they could've been assasins in Pt.1, but now they just look like a bunch of losers, especially Bud. Elle was easily the best character, and the only one to have a cool fight scene. There were also way too many flashbacks to the first part. It got REALLY repetative. Honestly, this is Quentins worst, and it's not Jackie Brown bad, but just a really bad movie bad. 2 stars for effort.
BILL DESERVES TO DIE; BUT UMA AND TARANTINO DESERVE OSCARS.
i really liked part 2 because it provided a balance from the first installment. the first one was exhilirating, violent, and unique. i really enjoyed the first one a lot. tarantino's use of dialogue, genre, and music in his prior films is taken to a heightened level with the kill bill series. part 2 provided a lot of information which made the bride seem more human, instead of just a killing machine. also, the contrast between the two films makes the second part so good. the first film was more of an homage to eastern, kung-fu movies, while the second one has an american western vibe. i was very pleased with the second installment as part of the kill bill series and it also stands just fine as a single film. i highly recommend this movie.
Kill Bill 2 is awsome. But it could have been a bit more gorrior. But it was still awsome
I have never seen an action revenge movie like this. this movie is out of this world.
i really enjoyed this movie. i saw this movie twice andi have to admit that the first time i saw this movie i was kinda disappointed. of course the first one was filled with so much action-but if you *really* look at it, the most violent part was when uma took on the crazy 88s. i fell in love with the first movie though. of course this movie is a much calmer-romantic story, so if you went into the movie expecting a violent, fast paced film like the first one, you're doomed to be disappointed. after i realized that this movie was *intentionally* supposed to be a different movie than the 1st one, i liked it a lot better. i think uma looked really pretty when she was in the coffin & i liked the part w/ pai mei. and i really digged the fight between her and daryl. i know a lot of people were disappointed in this movie simply because they expect it to be the 1st movie.
