Absolutely brilliant concert even if it was without Roger Waters

Absolutely brilliant concert even if it was without Roger Waters. The surround sound options are great, but technology moves on and this film is crying out for a Blue Ray did version to match the superior sound. Please can someone arrange this for us fans of the most visual and acoustical tests of all time?

A Must for any Pink Floyd fan.

Pulse was one of the last Pink Floyd concerts ever except perhaps for the brief, 3 song reunion at Live 8 several years ago. Although missing Roger Waters the performance is oustanding. Stunning visuals including the kind of light show Pink Floyd was always known for. Includes all (or at least most tracks) from Dark Side of the Moon, Comfortably Numb, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, and Wishing You Were Here. With the passing of Syd Barret and Richard Wright, Pink Flloyd will never be the same. Pulse has been featured several times on PBS.

    more from this reviewer

How I wish, how I wish I'd been there...

Pulse is an excellent live concert. It has everything you would expect from a Pink Floyd show, and it sounds very good. Many of the classic Pink Floyd tunes you would expect to hear make up this concert, and Gilmour's guitar sounds as solid as ever.

    Excellent DVD Set

I haven't really checked out any of the extra features yet, if there are any. But the concert is excellent. Performance is perfect. Sound quality is outstanding. Cameras capture the entire event nicely.

    Absolutely Mesmerizing

How can one NOT be completely overwhelmed when watching David Gilmour and the rest of the band live? The Pink Floyd experience, in all of its forms, cannot be compaired to many other things. This concert is amazing.

    Incredible

Wow - as a Floyd Fan from a long way back this is one awesome DVD. The soound is phenomonal - which from Floyd you would expect. The visuals are amazing. I saw this tour in '94 and it is nice to see it up close and personal. I was at the back of a stadium with 100,000 of my "closest friends". You can see the joy that all of the musicians have playing these classics. For all current and future Floyd fans - Don't hesitate - get this DVD NOW!!! You will not be sorry!

    Too bad it wasn't widescreen

Excellent music. Excellent musicians. Excellent concert production. The only thing lacking from this production is that its not widescreen. The mistake made by Pink Floyd was to shoot this concert using video and being restricted to a 4:3 aspect, instead of film. With today's widescreen televisions this DVD comes off looking small. Its really a shame given that there are so few Pink Floyd concert films available and the likelihood they'll tour again grows smaller by the day. I was fortunate enough to see this tour and although this DVD is a great reminder of the show, the 4:3 aspect ratio does not do the stage or concert production any justice, especially given Pink Floyd's famous reputation for its stage show.

    Finally on DVD!

We had this awsome concert on VHS for many years, and I have been trying to order it on DVD since we bought a DVD player. I'm thrilled to own it on DVD since the sound is much better and we can finally retire that old VHS player. Don't hesitate to order this if you're a Pink Floyd fan, and if you're not, this one will convert you!
