Meet the Author

Deborah Blake is the author of Circle, Coven and Grove: A Year of Magickal Practice (Llewellyn 2007), Everyday Witch A to Z: An Amusing, Inspiring & Informative Guide to the Wonderful World of Witchcraft (Llewellyn 2008), The Goddess is in the Details: Wisdom for the Everyday Witch (Llewellyn 2009), Everyday Witch A to Z Spellbook (2010) and Witchcraft on a Shoestring (2010). She has published numerous articles in Pagan publications, including Llewellyn annuals and has an ongoing column in Witches & Pagans Magazine.

Her award-winning short story, "Dead and (Mostly) Gone" is included in the Pagan Anthology of Short Fiction: 13 Prize Winning Tales (Llewellyn, 2008). Deborah had been interviewed on television, radio and podcast, and can be found online at Facebook, Twitter and www.myspace.com/deborahblakehps.

When not writing, Deborah runs The Artisans' Guild, a cooperative shop she founded with a friend in 1999, and also works as a jewelry maker. She lives in a 100 year old farmhouse in rural upstate New York with five cats who supervise all her activities, both magickal and mundane.

    INVALUABLE WITCHY SPELLBOOK!

    This book is amazing! It has saved me and my dog Brew countless hours of research and headaches. This book has everything that a modern day witch needs. I wish I had this book years ago and am grateful to have found the works of Deborah Blake. There is humor, witt, clear advice, easy to use spells, and everything is organized in one beautiful package. We must also remember to give credit to Magic the Cat for his views and insights. As much as I love my bookshelf, this books is too special to even go there. It holds a special place in my heart and I keep it close for use in many situations. You don't have to be a witch to enjoy this lovely gift of words. The magickal words are lovely works of poetry to lift the spirts and karma of anyone. Remember there is a little witch down inside all of us and reading this book may be the key to bringing a little magick into your life. If Deborah Blake has her name on it, be sure to give it a read! Best money I ever spent and looking forward to more.

    Fantastic Book!

    Such a great book. Written on an easy to understand level with a lot of humor thrown in. Whether you are a beginner or have been on your path for awhile, you can find something in this book.

    Love, Love, Love This Book

    Deborah Blake has a spell for just about everything under the sun and they are easy, beautifully written and down to earth spells. She has spells for scared children at night to marriages in trouble to helping with PMS. You don't need 10 different hard to find ingredients to perform the spells which really makes it so much easier and the spells themselves are not difficult to accomplish. I don't think you'll be sorry if you purchase this book. This book is great for the beginners as well as for seasoned practictioners. Ms. Blake has experience as well as a wonderful sense of humor. I will be purchasing this in hard copy as well as any of her other books and they're going to make excellent gifts this year. Like I said....Love, Love, Love this book.
