I have read several other books by this author and they were okay. "The Favored Queen" was not worth the time or money I invested in it.
The author clearly felt that since this book was historical fiction she could ignore what facts, however few, are known about Jane Seymour, Hennry VIII's third queen. Instead of using what is known about Jane and then crafting a credible tale to fill in the blanks, Ms. Erickson trashes the main character along with most of the others in the book, making all unrecognizable.
This book reeks of a disinterested author doing as little as possible in order to fulfill a contract.
