    ADVANCED FOR ITS TIME

What is the mystery behind the rate of SIDS in infants and the disappearance of male children in the small town of Eastbury, Massachussetts? THE GOD PROJECT, which made its debut in 1982, is a futuristic look at medical technology gone awry. Its characterizations appear straight from contemporary news headlines. This is one of Mr. Saul's most chilling works, if not the most, and I highly reccommend it for anyone who likes technological thrillers or science fiction.

Classic John Saul, one of his best

One of my all time favorite books! So many "I can't believe that just happened" moments. And definitely one of the best & creepiest endings I've ever read.

    A must read

If you are mother you have got to read this one. In fact even if you aren't a mother this is an awesome book to read.

    Every Mother's Worst Fear

This book goes where even science fiction doesn't dare. SIDS and playing God go hand and hand in this classic John Saul novel... it's one man's belief that he can control/create children who are in essence 'perfect'. But as it always does, there's a catch 22. Just because you create it, doesn't mean you can control it as the story soon proves through it's young main characters. Saul's endings always allow room for the reader's speculation, but this one will leave you wondering about the boy mowing the yard next door or the little girl playing with her dolls down the street.

This book.....well....i dont think i liked it. It's hard to decide. You think this book is going to have this big thing at the end....but almost everybody gets killed (well, all my faves), i couldnt tell what the 'dangerous project' is, and the sweetest lil boys are turned into monster....saul, the beggining was fantastic, but the end needs work

Hooked on Saul really worked for me!

I read this book for the first time when I was eight, back in 1983. My mother owned a copy and (of course) said I wasn't allowed to read it... We follow two boys, Randy and Jason, through many (could that really happen?) terrifying situations. As with most of Saul's books, it eirily chilling and will have you second guessing your paradigms of real life. If you're looking for a 'can't put it down', 'gave me nightmares for a week', 'read it in a day' thriller....then this story is for you. Buy it! You'll love it!

    This project is the best!!

As an average teenager, I'm expected not to enjoy or understand stimulating books such as this one, but I tell you this is the best book I've ever read, and I recommend that you go and pick this book up immediately! NOTE:DON'T READ THE EPILOGUE FIRST! IT RUINS THE WHOLE BOOK!!!!

    Amazing Book

This book was very good. It really makes you think. The things described in this book could really be going on. I believe it's kind of futurific. If you enjoy books that read good from beginning to end, you'll love this book.
