To say that "Cool Rider" is one of the best songs and Michelle Pfeiffer's only solo on the soundtrack is to reveal the fact that Grease 2 is inferior but for a whole different reason -- the songs are dulled. Grease 2, by name alone, begs for a place alongside its predecessor, maybe even comparison. But as Grease featured a collection of classic '50s songs and new songs (some even better than the '50s hits), Grease 2 could not keep its soundtrack from dripping in the heat if not for "Cool Rider," "Score Tonight," and the explicitly suggestive "Reproduction," which is embarrassingly catchy.

    good soundtrack

    This movie first of all was not intended to mimic the first Grease although some of the actors did appear in this second Grease. I am surprised because I actually connected more in some ways with the second movie than the first movie and I will tell you why: It seemed more sentimental with the male and female being contemporary and down to earth and the song "Charades" was beautiful and I related with the harmony and words. So whether or not the movie is 5 stars does not take away from the comedy and seriousness of some parts although they may seem thin to some people. Much of this is about conviction and how you relate and connect, which is what the point is with the character played by Michael Caulfield

    1 star is generous

    I found this movie repulsive, and difficult to sit through. I looked forward to the commerical breaks. Compared to the original, it was awful, but even as its own movie it was bad enough. The soundtrack had two somewhat catchy songs: Cool Rider, and Back to School. It isn't worth buying the whole CD just to get these marginal songs. Life is too short to spend time watching poor movies like this.

    Grease 2 is my favorite guilty pleasure film....

    I found the music to be very entertaining and I enjoyed the film very much. Peter Frechette (Louis) has a wonderful voice and he blew the rest of the cast away.

    Love Story

    At one point, the movie is a real tear jerker. Did he really die? The soundtrack compliments the style of the time. They're all pretty catchy, even if "Reproduction" raises some eyebrows

    Grease 2 soundtrack - pick it up or skip it?

    I think this has good music- some rock and roll and other types of music. I think it has more high energy music than some of the Grease soundtrack, but the movie isn't nearly as good!
