Since the moment Chris and Sara met, much like her meeting with Mark, I wanted to know what made them tick: where did they turn to the lifestyle to enact the control that perhaps was lacking elsewhere.  Where Mark’s control is evidenced in every facet of his life, Chris has a seemingly relaxed approach to his life and work. While there is no lack of focus, Chris is always dancing in the face of his demons, allowing them to control his reactions until he snaps to hide from those same demons by retreating in pain. This has been the most wrenching journey, moments when I wanted nothing more than to shake him and pull his fears out into the open and show him just how insignificant they are, in the face of the love and acceptance he has found with Sara.  Chris has a very active interior life, one that is full of darkness and shadows, and he is unwilling to trust that shining a light in those corners will not scare Sara off.   And, in many ways, I can empathize with his dilemma.  Sara is stronger, far stronger than anyone has given her credit: and at times I wonder if her desire to know it all is more rooted in curiosity than in actually feeling the need to know.  But, my worst fears were unfounded where she was concerned, and as I have come to know her throughout this series I am finding more to admire about her courage and her dedication to her convictions and to Chris. Yes, this is a short, and as with all of the books in this series to this point, pieces are revealed as even more questions about where do we go from here are left unanswered.  And this was no exception: answers that I needed to better understand Chris’ past actions and behavior were revealed, and while I don’t believe that we have sorted out all of his issues, there was a new layer added to the connection between them. Again Lisa Renee Jones stole an hour of my time to transport me into the lives and world of Chris and Sara, and kept me enchanted and wondering every moment.  And the series is falling into place, with all of the information now being revealed, those earlier unanswered questions are now settling in favor of more questions: most importantly what next? This is NOT a stand alone read: do yourself the favor and invest the time and energy into reading all of the earlier books in the series.  It is a roller coaster of emotions, intensity and enjoyment, and you won’t regret a moment. I received an eArc copy via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review. All conclusions are my own responsibility.

This book is all in Chris' POV, and it is great to see the other side! Chris is so afraid of losing her and a part of him doesn't want her in his wrecked up life. But he can't let her go... Read this book to find out all of his secrets!

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Reading “His Secrets” gave me a big smile on my face.  I love Chris and Sara.  I loved seeing more into Chris’s world.  I hated the way Amber manipulated everyone.  I think they should just write her off.  She needs to learn to cope on her own.  I loved that Sara stood by Chris through the whole ordeal.  I could understand her misgivings at the end also.  Chris needs to start seeing Sara for who she is, not who he’s afraid she’ll become.  Again, I loved it.  I can’t wait for the next installment. 5-Bombs Reviewed by Tracy

My heart broke for Chris as he had to face his demons in more ways than one in this installment. His secrets are all exposed and we get to see if Sara is strong enough to handle what she learns. This is a very short story, but vital in finding out what makes Chris tick.  The episode with Amber is, I think, the final step in Chris getting his own eyes opened. I kind of knew that eventually Amber would pull another stunt, but not anything to that extent. Nope, not going to give it away. You just have to read the story to find out what happens.  This book gets rated 5 stars from me. It put some pieces of the puzzle together for me. I am at the edge of my seat wanting to read the next installment. This is another must read for anyone reading this series.

This novella is told from Chris's point of view,  and was okay. I think the whole thing was just showing how manipulative Amber could be,   and we saw a lot of that in Revealing Us.

~*~* Mad in Wonderland Review*~*~ Recieved a free copy in return for honest review. This series keeps getting hotter and hotter! His Secrets picks up at the end of Revealing Us. It is written from Chris' POV. Until now, we have just seen Chris as a brooding and moody artist with a chip on his shoulder, with this, we get to see inside his head and understand him more. There isn't as much of the steaminess of the full novels, but it is a good thing because it isn't really needed on this ride. If you have been reading along, make sure to pick up this short read and get to understand our conflicted artist just a bit more.

3.5 stars (Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to Simon and Schuster and Edelweiss.) This is a short story about Chris and Sara in Paris, after the end of book 3. I enjoyed this short. I liked seeing things from Chris’ perspective, and I actually started to really like him, which I didn’t really get from the previous books. There was sex, and it was pretty hot! But there were also discussions about things that were important in Chris and Sara’s relationship. Including discussions about Amber, and Chris’ need to be wipped. The ending to this was good, and the epilogue was a real teaser for the next book. Overall; a good and sexy short. 7 out of 10.

I really enjoyed this short story, as it deals with more of the demons from Chris's past, and I think explained more of why he did not want to become involved with Sara. This story dealt with Amber and the way of life she has chosen, and blames Chris for. If you have not read the previous books in the Inside Out Series, I suggest that you read them before reading this short story, that way it will all make sense. This story is told from Chris's point of view, and occurs on their last night in Paris. And although Chris does not really want Sara to come with him to help Amber, he feels like she needs to see this, and to really see what his past has been like. To understand him as the man he was and hopefully, will never be again. This short story is full of important facts about Chris, and also lets us see how Sara is going to handle it all. Once again the chemistry between Chris and Sara is off the charts, and I can't wait on the next installment in this fascinating series!!

I liked that it was from Chris POV, I like getting the different perspectives from the main characters. Sara is a better woman than me, I would have told him he needs to get rid of those toxic people. I know you want to help, but there needs to be a limit. Especially exes! All it does is create too much drama. If Chris wants to change, he needs to know when enough is enough. All in all it was a good short story with a couple steamy scenes.

Always a joy to see the story from a different perspective. While the book was a little short, as with previous books in this series, Lisa did a great job of presenting the story from not only another perspective but also from a male perspective. Would love to read more of the story from Chris' view, to better know him and how he works, as well as his deep dark history. Absolutely LOVE the interaction between the two lead characters. Can't wait for the next installment in the series!

Awesome!! If you have read the first books in the Inside Out Series, then you have to read this book. If you have not read the other books in this story then I recommend that you read those first before you read this book. This is a short story with Chris's point of view. It picks up right after the last one with Chris and Sara still in Paris. Chris and Sara are enjoying their last night in Paris when he gets a phone call saying that Amber is having a meltdown and is having an episode. Chris feels guilty so he goes after her and Sara goes with him. They must once again face Chris's demons and his past. This book is great and tells us more  about Chris and Amber. This book has hot sex scenes but they are written very well. I can't wait until the next book in this series comes out! A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This is a quick read (47 pg). This leaves off with them in paris/country near the city (parents castle). Chris wants Sara to see all his secrets and what he did to his friend/ex girlfriend Amber. Wants sara to see the other side of the BDSM club and what he was like in his worst spots (grief and deppression). He craved pain and only pain. He felt he didnt deserve any pleasure. He now sees thar Sara is the key he was looking for in life to guide him to end the pain and give up everything he has been holding in and runing from. Cant wait for the next chapter. Kristy D.
