Cole Masten. Abandoned by his superstar wife, Hollywood's Perfect Husband is now Hollywood's Sexiest Bachelor: partying hard and screwing even harder. Watch out Los Angeles, there's a new bad boy in town.

Summer Jenkins. That's me, a small town girl stuck in Quincy, Georgia. I cook some mean chicken and dumplins, can bluff a grown man out of his savings in poker, and was voted Most Friendly my senior year.

We were from different worlds. Our lives shouldn't have collided. But then Cole Masten read a book about my small town. And six months later, his jet landed on our dusty airstrip, and he brought Hollywood with him.

From the start, I knew he was trouble.
For our town. And for me.
Sometimes, opposites just aren't meant to attract.

Normally Hollywood bigwig meets commoner is not my cup of tea...but I love this author and placed my trust in her....and holy hell, I was not disappointed in the least! From chapter one throughout...loved the way the story unfolds in Torres signature style. I cannot wait for her next release...but this story will bring smiles to my soul for many days to come!!!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a really sweet, heartwarming tale. I loved that although there's lots of angst and will they won't they throughout the book it was really easy reading. Cole Masten is Hollywood's hottest star, about to commence filming on his new film he's hit with some incredibly major personal problems. Summer Jenkins is just trying to blend in, earn enough money to leave Quincy and start a fresh, away from her past that just won't stay there. These two meet and the sparks fly immediately. They had really good chemistry, the few sex scenes where perfect, and I spent the whole book just wishing they could both see past their hang ups and realise how good they could be together. The chapters are short in this book so don't let the 112 chapters put you off, the POV changes frequently, it drove me a little crazy in the beginning but I soon got into the swing of it. The secondary characters are really fun, I loved their relationships with Ben and Justin, would of loved more time with all four of them together but the book ends really well and I always think if your left wanting more the authors done a good job!

Bought this the day it was released, but just started it yesterday and finished today. Could not put it down! I won't try and write a synopsis since others have already done so, but this book is very well written and is a must read. Sorry I didn't read it sooner. No cliffhanger and a HEA.

I have read this authors books before and enjoyed them. This wasn't one of them. With the 5 star reviews I thought i' d be in for a real treat, but once I began the book and continued, it just did nothing for me. I felt no connection to the caracters, thought the storyline was silly, and felt like there hatred towards one another went from hate to insta love in 3 seconds. I probly won't be reading much more from this author. Maybe it was just me, but it was not a good read, nor one that I would recommend. Sorry......

A great, fun read with characters you will love. She's strong, smart and sassy with a Southern drawl. He is droolworthy. And if you're a fan of Alessandra Torre (and you should be!), you'll love the Easter egg she's hidden.

Sexy and light-hearted This is the first book of Torre that I have read. I heard that this is different from her other erotica books, and it is wonderful. I know I will definitely read more of her work, as I like authors who write uniquely and in various writing styles. Erotica without being pure sex-driven scenes. A very in depth and intimate story and it was just one of those stories that pull the reader into the scenes. It's full of intense I love you/hate you feelings and it makes you route for them even more. Did not disappoint.

It's one of those books that captures you from the beginning and you can't put it down because you become part of the story. Characters are written so well. Worst part is the end because you still want to read more!! Love. It.

This is one of those hard to right reviews. I really wanted to like this book. I was introduced to AT's writing last year when I read Black Lies, which I loved. But HD just seemed to fall flat and I really can't pin point why. I liked Summer and Cole, thought it had the potential for a unique plot but something just didn't click for me. I did like the flip that it was the male character that found his wife cheating and the male that was heartbroken. Summer was sarcastic as all get out and often found myself laughing to myself. I needed more of a connection between Summer and Cole. They barely have a decent conversation throughout the entire book. No more than a few clipped sentences.

I thought this was a very cute story! Loved the people amd how it was written. Only thing is that I wish that at the chapter it said who it was. In thebeginning of the storyi had to figure out whowas talking about half way threw I could tell. But I feel if it said chapter 1 and underneath that summer n then chapter 2 cole. I would deffinetly recomend this book!!

I've been in a reading funk lately, and couldn't find anything good. This book was so refreshing , it was hilarious and hot. More than impressed with the flow and the writing style; and with the author, herself.

theavidbooknerd.wordpress.com So… wow. I just… wow. Seriously – WOW!!!! This book was such a sleeper hit for me. You know the kind: you think the cover is nice, it sounds okay and decide “meh, may as well.” A couple hours later, short of sleep and revved on excitement you are about ready to jump in your bed at how much you LOVE the book. That is how I reacted to “Hollywood Dirt” by Alessandra Torre. I thought it would be just another one of the cutesy stories I enjoy about a movie star falling for an average girl. Instead I was swept up into an awe-inspiring story based on real events. I had chills sometimes while reading this book. Cole Madsen has had a terrible time lately. The woman he loved, who he thought loved him, has betrayed him. She’s left Cole and isn’t interested in trying to salvage their marriage. All she wants is money – and 50% of a film that is Cole’s baby. He’s fought to have the film done, has invested heavily in it and will be the leading man – and his adulterous wife would rather have rights to the film than Cole. Hurt and furious, Cole begins to screw his way through the plastic women in Hollywood. And the media has a field day. Summer Jenkins is discontent with her life in the quiet town of Quincy, Georgia. She’s been standing on the outskirts of town, forever held in judgment for her past actions, and unable to move forward. At the beginning of her isolation, Summer didn’t mind what the town thought of her. But as the years go by and she never leaves she begins to dream of what could be. Summer sees her chance when a location scout comes to Quincy, Georgia. The South has their own way of doing things and the outsider doesn’t stand a chance of gaining ground without someone to clear the way. Someone like Summer – she knows who to beg, who to flatter and has the Southern woman charm down pat. In Hollywood Cole begins the legal battle with his soon-to-be ex-wife and all of America watches. In Quincy, Summer helps get movie preparation underway. Finally Cole’s lawyer forces him to leave for Quincy a month before shooting is to begin in an attempt to keep Cole from becoming cast as the bad guy in the divorce. He’s brought to Summer’s house so that she and Ben (location scout she’s been working with) can find a place for Cole to stay. From the moment Cole and Summer meet it’s fireworks city. Summer is less than impressed from meeting superstar Cole Madsen in person. His lack of manners and abrupt way of speaking rub her Southern nerves the wrong way. And Summer’s dismissal of him, after having had his wife cheat on him, confuses and frustrates Cole. But he admires Summer’s fire and spirit and has a flash of brilliance: Summer had to be the leading lady. She is a real Southern woman – steel backbone with a velvet exterior and fiery eyes with a honeyed voice. Abruptly offered the role, Summer decides to do it. The salary will take her a long way from Quincy, Georgia and that’s exactly what she wants. But the fireworks between Cole and Summer aren’t only due to East meeting West. Hot and heavy attraction exists between them and it flares up at the most inopportune times. Like when she’s showing Cole where he’s staying during filming, when Cole tries to be nice and helps mend a fence (literally) and while they’re filming a scene together. Their chemistry and heat is so noticeable that the relationship between the two characters is changed from co-workers only to sexy partners.
