    A great reference

This book is a wealth of knowledge. It provides its information in concise, well structured chapters that lends itself to be used over and over as a reference guide.
The writers treat the reader as an adult with experience in the basics. It gives the reasons why things are done the way they are but does not do it in a condescending way.

It also goes beyond the basics with the 'Expert Tips' sections letting an advanced user explore.

I think my favorite part of the book is that it tells you what to expect from the current crop of browsers and HTML authoring tools.
It shows that the writers actually did their research on more than just their favorite tools.

All-in-all a great book on a very timely subject.
