Overview

They call her the Ice Queen. At the exclusive BDSM club known as The Zone, Mistress Marguerite is a legend. Tyler Winterman has been fascinated with her since he's known her, though the rules of their world say they shouldn't share more than mutual admiration. He is her male counterpart, one of the most powerful male Doms practicing at The Zone.
Due to a computer error, Marguerite lacks the mentoring program stipulation required of all Zone Doms, which includes spending a number of hours learning about BDSM from the submissive's perspective. Tyler considers it an act of fate that Marguerite chooses him to be the Dom who helps her fulfill that requirement. He is convinced she is a "switch", a closet submissive, but the truth will be even more remarkable than the theory, changing their lives in ways neither of them anticipates.?Having no equal except one another in their skills at stripping a sub's defenses bare, these two Dominants will turn their considerable talents on each other and discover that who is Master and who is slave doesn't matter, not when two souls have found their mate.

Meet the Author

Joey W. Hill writes about vampires, mermaids, boardroom executives, cops, witches, angels, simple housemaids... She's penned over forty acclaimed titles and six award-winning series, and been awarded the RT Book Reviews Career Achievement Award for Erotica. But she's especially proud and humbled to have won the support and enthusiasm of a wonderful, widely diverse readership.
So why erotic romance? “Writing great erotic romance is all about exploring the true face of who we are – the best and worst - which typically comes out in the most vulnerable moments of sexual intimacy.” She has earned a reputation for writing BDSM romance that not only wins her fans of that genre, but readers who would “never” read BDSM romance. She believes that's because strong, compelling characters are the most important part of her books.
“Whatever genre you’re writing, if the characters are captivating and sympathetic, the readers are going to want to see what happens to them. That was the defining element of the romances I loved most and which shaped my own writing. Bringing characters together who have numerous emotional obstacles standing in their way, watching them reach a soul-deep understanding of one another through the expression of their darkest sexual needs, and then growing from that understanding into love - that's the kind of story I love to write."
Take the plunge with her, and don't hesitate to let her know what you think of her work, good or bad. She thrives on feedback!?

I was so happy to read about Marguerite. Natural Law had me wondering about her coolness, and to have a title like Ice Queen fit perfectly. I was shocked that Marguerite and Tyler ended up together, but it worked wonderfully. Most of the time I hate when an author makes a story into two books, but this time it was needed. I love the detail in both Marguerite and Tyler's backgrounds. It really help me connect with the characters.

I am sick of authors making obsessive, stalker psychos into sexy, mysterious heros. Tyler is not sexy nor romantic. He is a stalker and an abusive arrogant asshat who can't take no for an answer. It is ironic that the women in the book compare him to a tiger because, while tigers are beautiful animals, they will tear you apart if you take your eyes off of them. Tyler is also that dangerous.

Love Tyler and Marguerite's story. Most call her the Ice Queen but Tyler Winterman sees something in those hunted ice blue eyes that calls to his soul. That are both Master and Mistress at the same club, The Zone, of which Tyler is part owner. When it comes to hi attention that Mistress Marguerite has not net all the necessary requirements of being a practicing Mistress at The Zone she is notified and requests Tyler mentor her. This couple has a lot of ups and downs and Marguerite fights Tyler tooth and nail to keep him at arm's length to no avail. Brilliant, in depth writing again by Joey W Hill.

As always, Joey Hill has written a story so rich with genuine emotional impact that I am amazed. It is a deeply moving story that defies such simple labels like erotica, BDSM paranormal, etc. Ms. Hill incorporates sexual encounters between characters naturally into the story. I have read all of the "Vampire Queen" novels. I have read some of them over and over again because they nourish my heart and soul. This is definitely one of those very special stories.

THE PLOT IS RATHER SIMPLE, FEMALE DOMME FALLS IN LOVE WITH MALE DOM. I DIDN'T REALLY LIKE THE WAY MARGUERITE HAD TO BECOME TYLER'S SUB IN ORDER TO RETAIN HER "ZONE" CLUB MEMBERSHIP, BUT IT WAS A RATHER UNIQUE WAY TO BRING THE CHARACTERS TOGETHER. IF YOU READ ICE QUEEN, YOU SHOULD HAVE MIRROR OF MY SOUL HANDY, BECAUSE WHEN YOU GET TO THE END OF ICE QUEEN, YOU SAY, "IS THAT ALL THERE IS ?? " AND OF COURSE, THE ANSWER IS NO, THERE'S A WHOLE OTHER BOOK. IF YOU'RE A JOEY HILL FAN, YOU MAY FIND THE CHARACTERS ARE SIMILAR TO HER KNIGHTS OF THE BOARDROOM SERIER. RICH FEMALE DOMME & RICH MALE DOM. BUT IT WAS A GOOD READ.

You have to reed first book first. Good but the end , the last 100 pages , are dragging, too much repetition.

The first part of marguarites story isstrong, but i felt this shouldve been kept to one book. The second half of their story alternates between being boring andbeing disappointing. That said, i love this author. I jyst wish id loved this story.

WARNING.....NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!! This book is one of the most emotionally wrenching books I have ever read, to the point where I actually jad to take a break and walk away for a few hours to let things digest. That being said, few authors have the ability to create a story as powerful as this. Jowy W Hill is just that kind of author and The Ice Queen is most definitely that kind of book. If you have any appreciation for the power of a great love story this book is most definitely for you.

Favorite series! This is a fast read that leaves you wanting more which is good since #4 picks up right where this leaves off. These books are a bit dark but make perfect sense, it just isn't dark for darkness sake.

I do preface this with the caution that you must like Joey Hill books and be comfortable with BDSM. This book does not skimp on anything, the horrendous background of the heroine, and the getting to know oneself through letting go in BDSM. With that being said, I loved the characters, the story line, even though it was an uncomfortable one. You love Tyler's persistence in not letting Marguerite getting by with surface platitudes. Joey W. Hill definitely writes a story you remember and want to keep reading more about. Makes you want to read the next one that much sooner.
