Overview

Kissing someone other than your boyfriend is cheating.

But what about thinking about kissing someone other than your boyfriend?

What about thinking about it a lot?

Brenna Blixen has the perfect boyfriend. He's sweet, sexy, loyal, and sure that Brenna is the best thing that's ever happened to him. But being the perfect girlfriend isn't as easy as Brenna thought it would be, and the pressure that comes with trying to be Jake's everything is beginning to weigh on her. When her mother surprises her with a trip to Paris over winter break, she's torn. She anticipated spending her vacation snuggling with Jake Kelly, ice-skating, drinking cocoa, and relaxing...but what girl in her right mind would turn down a trip to Paris?

Things only get more confusing when she winds up unexpectedly and unavoidably thrown into Saxon Maclean's arms in the City of Lights. Far away from the comfort and stability she finds at Jake's side, Brenna faces down the feelings that have been swirling through her since the day she laid eyes on Saxon. Is it fair for her to call herself Jake's girlfriend when she has so many unresolved feelings about someone else?

Brenna is determined to figure it all out, even if it means making some of the hardest decisions of her entire life. She also learns that every single thing she does has rippling repercussions, some that fill her with total regret. By the time she figures out what her heart truly wants, she realizes that she may not be able to have it after all.

This book is recommended for Older/Mature YA.

Meet the Author

Liz Reinhardt was born and raised in the idyllic beauty of northwest NJ. A move to the subtropics of coastal Georgia with her daughter and husband left her with a newly realized taste for the beach and a bloated sunscreen budget. Right alongside these new loves is her old, steadfast affection and longing for bagels and the fast-talking foul mouths of her youth.

She loves Raisinettes, even if they aren't really candy, the Oxford comma, movies that are hilarious or feature zombies, any and all books, but especially romance (the smarter and hotter, the better), the sound of her daughter's incessantly wise and entertaining chatter, and watching her husband work on cars in the driveway.

The ONLY love triangle I've ever read where I could NOT decide.

The ONLY love triangle I've ever read where I could NOT decide. This is very realistic. If you like your romances tied up with a bow in the end, don't bother. Someone else mentioned a loose end...I think it's very realistic. This is how life is. This is especially how teenage life is. There is no 'end,' just tons of emotions and dilemmas. This book felt so real to me.

Sometimes this book was so frustrating. I just wanted to scream at the characters! But it was also so honest and true. I love that. Not the same predictable kind of book a lot of love triangles are. I loved how the end worked out, and loved how it leads to the summer story for the three.

More deserving of four and a half stars

Ok well cant deny that this is a great and well written book but the ending just stops and keeps you wondering because its not a really good conclusion. It gets to one part d stops. Likee there! There is tje ending and i amm not going to give you anymore information on how this book ends. And then its gives you a look into the third book but its not about jake or the girl and it talks about the other guys life after n like a 3 months later stage. Althouh the beginig is great. The trip when she bgets to paris happens very quickly and i didnt really like that. The middle was good but it seemed like they got together very quickly. The colser to the nding was good. But the main ending was justva blur and just was likebauhorbdidnt know howbto end it.
