I had to follow up and read this one since I enjoyed the previous book The Mating. This one was even better. The chemistry between hero and heroin was off the charts. The hero was a bad boy and I'm a sucker for those. The story it self kept me clicking the pages. This one had more action in it. A plus. It takes a while to get the info you need before things come together and get interesting. Hang in there though because it's great. Great Job Nicky Charles. You have a new fan here. I can't wait for the next one. Keep them coming.

For those of you who loved "The Mating", you are in for a treat with this next installment. This book continues the story of two brothers who are Alphas for their respective packs. We get to visit with Kane and Elise and find out how they are doing, but this story is Ryne's. Wow, what a ride! This was fabulous. I can't imagine why Ms. Charles doesn't have a publisher. Her books are as good as the well known paranormal authors out there. If you are a "were" fan look no farther. Read "The Mating" first and then "The Keeping". "The Finding" will be released this winter. I can hardly wait!

I read The Mating and just finished The Keeping. The Keeping more than met my expectations after reading The Mating. I have already put The Finding on my Nook and I know it will keep me on the edge of my seat. I agree with another reviewer, I'll buy any more of your books, you shouldn't have to give them away.

Wow! I read The Mating a few months ago and was thrilled to discover there was a sequel. A compelling plot, interesting characters, a hot, sexy love story, twists and turns, edge of your seat action and suspense, details and description....Ms. Charles does it again!

I got this book because it was free. I was very surprised to find out that it was a great book with a really good plot! In fact I got so involved with it that I couldn't put it down. I have all 3 books and I love them.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I loved The Mating so I was excited for this next installment in the series. I was disappointed for the first 150-200 pages. It was good, but did not grab me from the beginning like The Mating did. I kept waiting for something to happen and kept wondering how the author would work out all the issues with the characters. I did love how she kept giving updates on Elise and Kane from the first book! By the end, she tied almost everything up in a pretty nice bow (but still left a lot hanging for the third book). It really picked up in the last 100 pages or so and that mostly made up for the slow start. I am on to The Finding now!

Fabulous follow up to The Mating. A few random wording errors popped up where the incorrect word was placed within a sentence but otherwise the story flowed well. It was great to finally get the background info on the Lycan way of life that the first book painfully lacked. True to the last book there were a number of steamy sex scenes! I am anxious to begin the third book in the series!

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. It's badly written porn. In the storyline, female characters are all weak, sex crazed, utterly stupid. Male characters are all charming (even when they're being arrogant, insulting and degrading) and of course the world's best lovers. Hand one of the women in these books a pencil and a piece of paper and it will take them 500 pages to figure out she can write something while the men all stand around and flex their male members. Unfortunately in order to write the review I had to give it at least 1 star.

I read the first book The Mating. I will tell you that was a good book, but this one was even better. I would guess that the next in the series will be even better still.

i liked the mating, i thought it was cute but too many bedroom scenes. this one was BORING until about 600 pages in. too many bedroom/sex scenes, no character development, and mindless chatter. i will read "the finding" because i want to know how it ends, but the author seriously needs to get their mind out of porno and create a little backround for their characters and make them more appealing to get to know.

This author has a great writing style. I read her first book The Mating quickly and then this one in very little time as well. The author does a great job making you interested in Ryne and Mel, especially after making you fall in lovr with Kane and Eluse. You hardly miss the first couple because she makes you so interested in these two. She also did a great job of making a completely different story line but having it make sense with the first one.
There is norhing differenr about her sex scenes than any other romance writer. In terms of the negative comments about length...there arent as many pages as it may seem. This would not be 1000 printed pages. And she does just fine with description. Not too much at all.
I've enjoyed both books and am currently reading the third. Amazing books and good enough to pay money for.
