Great Book this is a must read book

The book starts out with a little boy (Sylvester Coddmeyer III) who isn’t very good at baseball. His dad is never around much he is always doing his job. His dad is lawyer and never has time to help him with his baseball.

Sylvester meets some guy named Mr. George Baruth. George teaches Sylvester how to play baseball to the point that Sylvester is the best player on the team

With the man vs. man theme it allowed me to enjoy the book more because it related more too real like.

At the end Sylvester found out who the very mistress Mr.Baruth was and was quit surprised to know who he really was. In the end Sylvester dad came through for Mr.Baruth.

I read "The Kid Who Only Hit Homers" it was a great book. The book is mostly a mystery you are always trying to find out whets going to happens next. This is a must read book!

    Crack Of The Bat

As Sylvester stepped up to the plate, sweat dripped down his face. He waited nervously as the pitcher began his windup. Smack!!! The ball soared out of the ballpark. And the story The Kid Who Only Hit Homers by Matt Christopher began. Main Characters are Sylvester and his friend George Baruth. Sylvester doesn¿t sign up for the baseball team because he thinks that he would never play. Mr. Baruth tells him that he will help him. Sylvester gets a chance to catch pop flies and he makes the team with his impressive playing. So far the book has taken place at the baseball field, Sylvester house, and at his school. Sylvester keeps his hitting streak alive with 27 homers. Sylvester finds out that this mysterious Mr. Baruth isn¿t real when he leaves town before Sylvester¿s big game. But then Mr. Baruth isn¿t there and Sylvester doesn¿t no if he will do such a great job hitting. I really liked the book. Matt Christopher does a great job describing the baseball games. This book was very interesting to me because it¿s about baseball. I can relate to it because I love baseball. Every summer I play on a team and it is a lot of fun. I also have hit 3 home runs. After I finished the book I really liked it. It really caught my attention. The best part of the book for me was the baseball games. I could understand it more because I play baseball. I think people who are older than 10 and like to play baseball should read this book. The whole book is about baseball so baseball fans would really enjoy this book. You should be able to no that a make-believe person could not make you a baseball star. It is also a complex story that younger kids wouldn¿t understand. The book is also written very well with many great details. The book is also a good book to just sit back, relax and read it.

    Matt Christopher stories are fun.

This is a baseball story that younger boys will like. Most younger boys who like sports get hooked on Matt Christopher once they read his books.
