Overview

The sequel to the acclaimed memoir Book of Shadows, ready to enchant readers in paperback

This is the true story of a love spell that worked. Ivy League lawyer and Wiccan priestess Phyllis Curott has a super-charged career in law and filmmaking, but one thing is missing: love. She casts a sexy spell and her dream lover soon arrives. But he’s not who he appears to be and there are unforeseen consequences. In this hip, compelling tale of spiritual and sexual awakening, she must seek the aid of an otherworldly suitor, a daemon, to discover how modern relationships and their problems are paths to the greatest magic of all—true love.

This wise and erotic memoir is also rich with spells, potions, techniques of sexual magic, and rituals for love. It is a story that will speak to every woman who has dreamed of her Prince Charming, revealing how our longing for love can lead to the discovery of our innate divinity and an authentic and empowered life.

Praise for The Love Spell:
“Irresistible, The Love Spell offers up the erotic details of the author’s search for a kind of modern woman’s happily-ever-after.”
—BODY AND SOUL

“Those curious about contemporary Wiccan beliefs and practices will find this an engrossing introduction.”

    INTERESTING BUT OVERWRITTEN

This book could have used a better editing job. Especially its second half, where she describes her relationship with her dream boyfrind in great detail. This put me off; I had to read ahead to find out what happened. One the other hand, her description of life in New York City was very compelling, especially of her favorite bar and its quirky bartender, who gives her some pointers on how to enjoy cognac when she gags on her first gulp. Her relationship with her womens group is also excellent. She celebrates the sensual life with intense feeling and reverence for creation. Her trip to Delaware Water Gap is one example of this, where she gives thanks for her life, and allows a waterfall to drench her. Her practice of Wiccan is very sincere, and one sees her in that context as a wise and beautiful woman.

    A Must Read..

I fell in love with this book! The moment I spotted it in BN...the cover enticed me right away. This book coincides with my own personal discovery....We are all the loves of our own lives....anyone outside oursleves who comes along and enables us to love deeply and enjoy completely is just icing on our cake....the reawakening of the divine feminine is very much alive in this novel....get comfy and cozy with this great read. You will not only be entertained, but based on where you are in your life path....you may also feel incredibly validated!

An Enchanting Story of Divine Love

Written in the same down-to-earth tone as her first memoir ¿Book of Shadows¿ Phyllis Curott openly recounts her casting of a love spell and the spiritual and sensual journey that results. Just as ¿Book of Shadows¿ chronicled her discovery of the wisdom of the Goddess, in ¿The Love Spell¿, Phyllis Curott describes her discovery of the ecstasy of the God, and, in turn, reconnects with her own femininity. A delightful and captivating read that is sure to satisfy both Wiccans and readers of romance alike. Highly recommended.

    Good Book

I liked the book. It teaches people about doing love spells and what might happen. It also mentions a dream guy and how the relationship turned out. The ending was abit confusing. Although a good book for people to read about love.
