Meet the Author

Dianne Venetta lives in Central Florida with her husband and two children--and her part-time Yellow Lab (Cody!). An avid gardener, she spends her spare time growing organic vegetables. Surprised by the amazing discoveries she finds there every day, she wondered, "Who knew there were so many similarities between men and plants?"In addition to writing women's fiction and romance, she pens the blog for BloominThyme.com. What began as a brief hiatus from writing has blossomed into a garden blog, children's fiction series and more volunteer hours at school than she imagined! At the end of the day, if she can inspire someone to stop and smell the roses (or rosemary!), kiss their child and spouse good-night, be kind to a neighbor and Mother Earth, then she's done all right.

My second book by Dianne Venetta and this one was very similar to the first in that it definitely had some sexy times, but there was a true story at the heart. If you are a follower, you know that I don't tend to read the books that are chock full of sexy times, it makes me very uncomfortable and isn't my type of reading. But I think Venetta writes sex scenes into a story, so I can quickly skip over them and still enjoy a story built on great characters in interesting situations.

Only one person is standing between Victor Marin and revenge &nd

Only one person is standing between Victor Marin and revenge – Samantha Rawlings.

All Vic needs is to weasel his way onto her legal team and he can make sure that scheming man finally gets some jail time for the deaths his negligence has caused.

All Sam needs to do is stop fighting long enough to see beyond the revenge and the lust to the man behind the havoc.

    Hott Review
While this was an extremely steamy read what hit me most wasn’t the romance but instead the sibling relationships. There was such reality and torment in Sam’s relationship with her sister. The hurt and the fear as she tries to accept the change in her role from master to guide was heart-wrenching.

I can’t wait for the next one!

    I Also Recommend:

Well-written legal romance with a smart heroine and sexy hero...

Well-written legal romance with a smart heroine and sexy hero...

A skilled and emotional writer crafted this story. Don't let the chick-lit-ish title fool you. This is not light reading fare. It is a well-written romance novel with deep characterization and plenty of cerebral action as well as bedroom action. The love story is believable and rings true to life. Some of the conflicts involved pro-life discussion but it wasn't preachy and there were other conflicts and goals that took precedence in the story. The dialogue was snappy, intelligent and provided great pacing for the unfolding storyline. I enjoyed all of the legal life details, which provided many emotional nuances of what it means to be a female lawyer with a passionate private life as well as a busy professional life. I also like books where the heroine has a sister and they are very close, like this book. I think that, too often, romances don't have well-developed sidekicks for the hero and heroine; This romance succeeds where many romances don't because of the depth of characterization of all of the players. Courtroom scenes are tough to write but the author did it so well. I would have given the book five stars except for one subplot resolution, which felt a bit contrived, but I discovered a new author and look forward to reading her other books. Worth reading and recommended. Four stars. Eve Paludan, Author of The Man Who Fell from the Sky (Angel Detectives #1) and other ebooks and books

    Oh La La!!!

Wow! Diane Venetta has got the skills! I loved every piece of this book, from page 1 to the very last page! She made a perfect mix of romantic passion, suspense and characters that will knock your socks off, and put it into one complex read! Samantha "Sam" Rawlings is hoping to make partnership at the law firm where she works after completing this case she's working on. That is, until her boss makes her include and mentor Victor Marin. Trouble is....Vic Marin is the distraction to the case. Sam sees him for the man he is...gorgeous and sexy. Lust doesn't begin to describe the way she feels.... Vic Marin is the epitome of sexual appeal. Ms. Venetta created him in a way that her readers will (or at least this one did!) lust after him...and drool to no end over him. He's after this case that same is working on for a whole other reason. Revenge is a pretty word in his mind. But, with Sam so near to him...well, let's just say that every emotion, every bit of the passionate tension between Vic and Sam can be felt by the reader! With lots of oh-la-la heated spiciness and fantastically created characters, Ms. Vendetta's definitely an author worthy of being put on my favorite authors list. This is most definitely a 5 Book worthy romance novel that is a perfect blend of suspense, romance, complexity. I definitely recommend this book to everyone. The ending will knock your socks off and leave you thirsting for more of Ms. Venetta's amazing stories and I can't WAIT to go back and read Jennifer's Garden!!! FANTABULOUS work, Ms. Venetta! This review originated at Reviews By Molly in part with a blog tour.
