Overview

Contrary to what many people believe, Wicca is a very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of thinking and life, which promotes wholeness with the divine and all which exists. Wicca is a belief system and way of life based upon the reconstruction of pre-Christian traditions originating in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. While much of the information of how these ancestors lived, worshiped and believed has been lost due to the efforts of the medieval church to wipe Wicca existence from history, we try to reconstruct those beliefs to the best of our ability with the information that is available.

Included in this collection of information is: What Is Magick, Elements And Magick, Intro To Traditional Wicca, Various Wiccan Traditions, Warnings And Cautions For The New Wiccan Or Witch, Basic Protection And Psychic Self Defense, A Witch’s Herbal Reference, Herb Propagation,
Candle Magick, How To Make A Book Of Shadows, Magick Formulas And Spells, Basic Spell Construction, Circle Casting And Information, A Large Collection Of Spells, Charms, Amulets, Talismans, and Witch’s Sabbats.

The author can't get names of historical figure correct, (a simple fact check is not too much to ask of an author). He completely contradicts himself regarding the nature of magic four pages apart, and the contradiction is of such a degree that one wonders if the author is qualified to write on the subject. This author has his hands in so many projects, that it becomes quickly obvious he is farming the industry for a quick buck. Poor writing, incorrect facts and personal confusion about magic and those who practice it. Do yourself a favor and pass this one up in favor of a good book by DJ Conway, Christopher Penzak or Scott Cunningham, but don't waste a penny on this stinker.

Yep, page is corrupted. Have to use the contents page to move to 13. Otherwise, the book is a good overview of WICCA. One should find a priest/ess to continue in the craft.
