    Very Disappointed

I'm a fan of Beverly Lewis .I pre-ordered the books in this series and waited each time with much anticipation only to be DISAPPOINTED. Thus far both in this series have not been up to the story telling standard expected of her.The first book was padded and predicable like an amateur writter. In the second book "The Missing" she spent the first third of the book rehashing the first book. The remainder of the book had so many unresolved issused I knew that they were the set up for book three And other series. However,I won't be pre-ordering them and I'll shop in the used book section for her future books.

    Disapppinting

This book had so many story lines in one book it was scattered. The ending of the book never wrapped up any of the story lines. SO unlike Lewis. Very disappointing.

    Touched by Grace

As usual, Beverly Lewis skillfully portrays human relationships, human struggles, and spiritual hunger with thoroughness and tenderness. Suspense propels the plot, leaving the reader satisfied with the interwoven story lines presented in The Missing and eagerly awaiting release of the third book in the series--The Telling.

    Too predictable

Have always loved Ms. Lewis' books, but this series was very disappointing. It seemed the book was put together wrong, as I felt like I already knew exactly what was going to happen.

    Secrets

I couldn't wait till this second book came out I'm late in writting the review and already read her last book to this series. Story line is touching and moving to the heart and the responsibilites of Grace and the family as they wait for word of thier mother who left in secret to find healing and closer of her heart. Beverly Lewis is a exceptional author you must read all her books she will never let you down as each story is as enchanting as the first.

ach, ye left me hangin by me suspenders, woman.

I agree completely with Sandy_Howell (see below). And I live right next door to the Amish, can trace my roots to the original settlers and know all these little towns like the palm of my hand. Nowhere in the book could I find mention of a 3rd novel in the series. I tried several stores and finally checked online and found this. Now, I can be Amish patient when I'm waiting for rain for my garden but when it is pouring and I settle down to read and find the end of the story missing...... ach, ye left me hangin by me suspenders, woman.

This new series by Beverly Lewis tends to leave me feeling short changed at the end of each book. When I read "The Secret" and now after reading "The Missing", I felt that there was no closure....it just felt like someone must have ripped out the last chapter so I couldn't read it. I know its done on purpose to encourage readers to get the next book to keep the story going, but I just felt like it was too much of a cliff hanger, especially considering there is a several month wait before the next one comes out. It makes me wish I had stumbled upon this series later on after it is complete. I still gave it four stars because it really is a good story and kept my interest---I just wish it would have kept going a bit longer._________________________________________________

    The Missing

This book is just as spellbinding as the first in the series. The characters keep you very interested. The interaction between the grandparents, son-in-law you can feel the secret that keep them apart. i can imagine how hard it is for the family to try and continue each day with the wife, mother daughter missing. I can't wait for the next chapter to start.

    A Good Story

As usual Beverly Lewis engages the reader in the story. This book was well written with good development of characters. She leaves you hanging for the third book in the trilogy.
