About the Author

Dennis Bickers has been married to Faye since 1966. They have two children and seven grandchildren. He took early retirement from Cummins Engine Company at the age of 47 and managed a family-owned business for 15 years. In addition he has served as the bivocational pastor of a small, rural church for twenty years and since 2001 has served on the region staff of the American Baptist Churches of Indiana and Kentucky. He is the author of seven books that address small church and bivocational ministry and speaks frequently on these subjects for various denominations groups in the US and Canada. Bickers earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a master's and doctoral degree from Liberty Theological Seminary.
